“I was not expecting this at all. I know Astera has a leather vest, but I had no idea you were doing this.”

“Figured I would make it official and shit. Try it on.”

She smiles shyly as she picks the jacket up, and I help her put it on. She pulls her hair out of the back and looks at me. “What do you think?”

“It’s fucking perfect.”

“I can’t wait to marry you.”

“Me too.”

Wrapping my arms around her waist, I bring her body close to me and lean down to her ear. “I really want to fuck you right now.”

“I was going to make you wait one night until we are officially married.”

“You will be getting that spanking tomorrow. But we can make out, right?”

“Yes.”

CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

CLAIRE

“Ummm… we have a problem,” Hayden says early the next morning.

My eyes pop open. “What kind of problem?”

“Go look outside. We aren’t going anywhere. I think everyone here is gonna be stuck here for at least a day.”

Grabbing some decent clothes to pull on, I rush out to look outside through the back door. “Holy shit. It looks like a foot of snow, and it’s still coming down.”

“We are not going anywhere, I am afraid,” Becca repeats Hayden’s words.

I sigh. “What am I going to do? If we can’t be on the roads, we can’t get married. This is so annoying.”

Walking back to the bedroom, I get right back into bed. “I quit today,” I tell Hayden, pulling the comforter over my head. “Of course, this would happen to me. Of all days,” I add.

“I’m sure we can figure something out.”

“I don’t know how.”

He walks out of the room.

When I hear the door of the room, I assume it’s Hayden. But I feel hands pull on my comforter. I open my eyes and see Astera staring down at me. “I’m sorry about your day being messed up.”

“Nothing we can do about it. It was my dumb idea to get married in the dead of winter.”

“It’s not a dumb idea. No matter what, you are having a wedding today.”

“How?”

“I have an idea. I’ll be back.”

I have no clue what Astera is doing, but whatever it is, I hope it works. I slink back down in bed with the comforter up to my neck because of the slight chill.

I don’t know how much later someone is shaking me awake. It’s Hayden. “We are having a wedding today, princess.”
