“You have heard of it.” I cocked my head. “And don’t you have work to do?”

Shaun chuckled.

“Yes, but it’s my company, and I come and go as I please.” He glanced at his watch. “Let’s go.”

I sighed as I stood from my chair. “Thanks, Shaun.” I smiled.

“Any time, Zoey. Good luck with the new car.”

Carter and I walked out of Shaun’s office, went down the stairs, and stepped onto the elevator.

“You don’t have to do this,” I said.

“I know I don’t. I want to.” He winked.

Fuck. I wish he didn’t do that.

“I’ll see you at the car rental shop,” he said as he headed to his car.

“I love this one.” I smiled as I ran my hand across the hood of the white Jeep Rubicon.

“Excellent choice,” Barry said. “This one is our special edition. Everything you could possibly want is in this baby.”

“I’ll take it,” I said.

“I’ll go get the paperwork started if you’d like to sit inside and get a feel for it.”

I climbed in, and Carter walked over to the passenger side.

“Thanks for the ride, but you can go now,” I said.

“I’m going to assume you’re also naming this Jeep?”

“I am.”

“Hunger Games again?” He smirked.

“Yes.” I cocked my head.

“Then I think you should name it Katniss.”

“Why?” My eyes narrowed at him.

“Because it suits your personality. You have a cold exterior at first, but eventually, you warm up.”

Did he really say that?

“You know what? I think dinner tonight is canceled,” I said.

“Oh, come on. I’m teasing you, Zoey.” He chuckled.

“I don’t think you are, Mr. Kind. And for the record, her name is Primrose.” I arched my brow.

The corners of his mouth curved upward before he glanced at his watch.

“I have to get going.” He pulled his phone from his pocket. “Number, please.”

“Why?”
