“What are you doing here?” Grayson asked.
“I bought the house and officially moved here today.”
“Are you serious?” Grayson grinned.
“You’re not fucking with us, are you?” Gabriel asked.
“No, I’m not fucking with you. I’m here to stay.” I chuckled.
All the guys walked over and took turns hugging me.
“Welcome to the beach, cousin.” Simon patted my back. “It’s good to have you here.”
“Thanks. It feels good to be here.”
“I can’t believe this.” Grayson hugged me again.
“Bro, you knew about this and lied to us?” Sebastian glanced at Shaun.
“We wanted to surprise you,” Shaun said. “Surprise.” He grinned.
“What about your company?” Gabriel asked.
“Carter Management Group is partnering with Sterling Capital.” I smiled. “Would it be okay if I stayed with one of you until I can get some furniture in this place?” I asked my brothers.
“You can stay with me since you stayed with Gabriel last time.” Grayson smiled.
“Thanks, bro.” I hugged him.
Gabriel walked over and grabbed my suitcases.
“Is this all you brought?” he asked.
“Yeah. The rest of my things from North Carolina will be here in a couple of days.”
“Let’s get these over to Grayson’s house and tell the rest of the family you’re here to stay.” Gabriel grinned.
CHAPTER 2
Carter
“I can’t believe you moved here.” Ava hugged me. “I’m so happy.”
“Thanks, Ava. Me too. Listen, I want to hire you to help me put the house together.”
“I’d love to, but you’re not hiring me.”
“Ava, I?—”
“Don’t argue with her.” Grayson walked over and hooked his arm around me. “Let her do what she does best.”
“I’m going to go over to the house and look around,” Ava said as she grabbed her large notepad. “Is there anything specific you’re thinking about?”
“Nope. I’m leaving all the decorating in your hands.” I smiled at her.
“Come on. Let’s go down to the beach and celebrate,” Grayson said as he walked over to the refrigerator and grabbed a few beers.
All the girls and kids were there when we got to the bonfire. They took turns hugging me and welcoming me to the beach.
