“Yeah. It is so.” Our passionate kiss continued.

“I’m starving,” she said.

“Me too. Let’s go get some food.”

“Where?” She laughed. “Oh wait, I see a Taco Bell right over there.” She pointed out to the open water.

“Smart ass.” I grinned. “The refrigerator is stocked with food. Come on.” I helped her out of the hot tub.

After we dressed, I opened the refrigerator and took out the fresh fruit tray.

“We can start with this,” I said.

“Oh, look at that. Fresh pineapple.” She smiled as she picked up a piece. “Open up.”

I took a bite, and it was so damn good.

“Better than that canned shit, right?” She grinned.

“You really need to stop talking about my canned pineapple like that.”

“Or what?” She cocked her head.

“Or this.” I picked her up, threw her over my shoulder, took her into the bedroom, and shut the door.

CHAPTER 31

Zoey

As I was wrapped in his arms, I glanced at the clock, and it was ten-thirty p.m.

“You’re a liar.”

“What did I lie about?” he asked.

“You said you would take me back to the marina after we talked. It’s ten-thirty, and we’re still on this boat.”

“Are you complaining?”

I lifted my head and smiled at him. “Not at all.”

“Good, because it’s too late to head back now. So, I guess we’ll have to spend the night on this beautiful yacht and head back in the morning.”

“Or afternoon.” I grinned.

“Tomorrow afternoon it is.” He smiled.

“My sign is being hung Monday, and the furniture is coming.”

“Oh yeah?” He pushed a strand of my hair behind my ear. “What furniture did you order for a bakery?”

“Small table and chairs and a couple of couches.”

“Couches?” His brow arched.

“Yeah. Those elongated couches. I’m going to have tables in front of them where people can sit and talk and eat sweets.”

“Let me guess. Pink?”
