“Just fuck off, will ya, Kendra?”

Xenia’s eyes widen at the sound of Wynonna’s words. I glance over my shoulder to see a few women standing feet away from our friends.

“She’s the one who started trouble at my coffee shop,” Xenia whispers to me. “Kendra’s a bully. Maybe we should leave.”

Unwilling to have my day out ruined, I walk toward the five newcomers facing off against Wynonna. They seem to be bickering over nothing before the aggressive blondes all turn to Coco. I don’t know why they zero in on my friend, except she’s new and her short shorts reveal her sexy dancer legs.

“Who’s the cheap whore?” Kendra sneers to her friends’ amusement.

“Hey, now,” Wynonna immediately growls. “Don’t say shit you can’t walk back.”

“Why, is the bimbo going to cry?” Kendra asks.

Glancing at Coco, I witness a lifetime of insecurities rise to the surface. I lean into her body and whisper how they’re just jealous.

“I’m not jealous of some prostitute,” Kendra quips, winning snickers from her friends.

My fist has a mind of its own, swinging wide before landing square against Kendra’s smirking mouth. She staggers back while I stare in awe at my hand.

No one speaks for what feels like forever. We just stare at each other. Suddenly, Wynonna cracks up. Callie points and laughs at Kendra’s shocked face. Rosemary leans over to whisper something to Landry. Our side finds humor in the moment.

Obviously, Kendra and her friends are less amused.

The main bully throws a punch at me. As her fist brushes across my cheek, I flash back to Hunter’s broken nose. I see those men using their size against us. Rather than fear, I’m suddenly enraged, and I have a target in front of me.

Rushing at Kendra, I knock her down, drop on top of her, and start swinging. She scratches my arms and yanks at my loose hair. I just keep raining down punches on her face.

Kendra finally gives up on moving my curvy ass off her body and chooses to simply cover her face. I figure the fight is over and stand, only to notice how the bully’s friends are attacking my friends. The sisters mostly back away while swinging their purses. Between them, Selene and Yazmin knock down one of the blonde bitches.

Coco has yanked off her shoe and is having a heels-duel with another of Kendra’s friends.

Wynonna has tackled a third blonde bitch and is force-feeding her parking lot gravel. A bully chases Callie around a car, only to get shoved by Rosemary.

Irina and Landry throw gravel at the final blonde bitch who flees back to her vehicle. Several of the other bullies also scramble to escape.

Watching the bedlam play out, I feel a hand tug at my hair. I had stupidly turned my back on Kendra, assuming she was down for the count. Instead, she yanks me backward, leaving me half on the ground. Before Kendra can kick me, Xenia runs over and throws a punch. Her fist awkwardly strikes the bitch’s eye.

Kendra lets out a howl of pain, drawing everyone’s attention to her. Wynonna’s hand freezes over the one bitch’s mouth as we wait to see if Kendra’s wail means she’s dying.

“I don’t even care,” the bitch mutters and walks away while cradling her eye.

Standing up next to Xenia, I see her shaking out her hand.

“It hurt more than I expected,” she admits.

As the last bullies return to their cars, I blow on my also throbbing knuckles. “I don’t know how Walla Walla does it.”

“Bigger hands, maybe?”

We share a smile before breaking into laughter, and I say, “I can’t believe I hit that bitch.”

Coco smiles at me from where she leans against our SUV and slides her heel back into place.

“Well, I worked up an appetite,” Wynonna announces. “Let’s get inside and spend my brother’s money.” We smile at how she flashes her business credit card. “Don’t rat me out,” Wynonna adds to Selene.

“Too late,” she says and shows her phone. “I warned Hoyt how we might be going to jail.”

“Don’t worry your pretty head,” Wynonna insists. “No one cares if we beat on Kendra. Hell, we might get a fucking medal.”
