Page 49 of Savoring Her Sweets

She laughed a jovial, raucous laughter, and I couldn’t help but smile in return. She was so amiable, one of those friendly ladies with no filter whatsoever.

“I’m doing this to earn money for my business,” I said nervously, more reconfirming my reason for being there to myself than anything else.

“That’s an even better reason than most of us here,” she said with a coquettish giggle. “I’m here because I want a new set of boobs.”

She shook her breasts and frowned, looking down at them dejectedly.

“I guess we could all use a new set of those,” I said, trying not to laugh. I had been blessed with a pretty decent chest, so I couldn’t necessarily relate to that exact complaint, but there was still plenty about my body I would eagerly change.

“Not you, darlin,” she said, staring down at my breasts almost like she was reading my mind and laughing. “Hell, I’m half tempted to take a picture of yours to give my surgeon as a reference!”

I couldn’t help it this time, and a laugh burst out of me. “Well, thanks.”

She winked at me and it occurred to me that this whole conversation was just this woman’s slightly odd way of putting me at ease, and I’m surprised to find that it’s worked. The giant nervous butterflies in my belly have shrunk down to tiny flutters.

“So, hon, what are you going to be auctioning, anyway?” she asked.

I paused, thinking about it for a minute. I thought about the auctions that I had seen and how incredible they were. There were girls auctioning anything and everything. They seemed so…free.

I thought of Elliot again, wondering if he was here in the crowd, and the words tumbled out of my mouth before I could stop them.

“My virginity,” I said.

I couldn’t believe my own ears. I had never had sex before and here I was about to give away my virginity to the highest bidder.

I was scared to death, but this was the opportunity of a lifetime, I wasn’t about to let it go so easily. And even though I was afraid, my curiosity and excitement were overpowering.

One way or another, today was going to be a turning point.

Chapter Six

Elliot

“Next up is Nancy,” came the voice of the auctioneer. “Any takers?”

I looked up at the girl standing on the stage. She was pretty enough, with long red waves and doe-like brown eyes. There wasn’t anything wrong with her, and a few years ago, I might have been all over her. But at the auction, nothing stirred in me. That wild, party-guy instinct that normally ruled me at these things was just gone.

I stared at the redhead for so long she seemed to turn into Candy. I imagined her standing there in front of me, smiling at me. I smiled back.

I shook my head, trying to get into the spirit of the auction. But, I just couldn’t stop thinking about Candy.

I was so focused on her that when I heard the auctioneer’s voice announcing: “Up next is Candy…” I was sure that I had been imagining things.

Until I realized that it was actually Candy standing up on the stage in front of me. I almost felt like I had magicked her up. I blinked a few times just to make sure that I wasn’t imagining things. I pinched myself. It was real. It was happening. Candy was really standing on the stage about to be auctioned right in front of me.

I was stunned to see her, but thrilled at the same time.

I knew one thing: I had to have her. This was my chance, it had to be fate. There was no way that I was going to let an opportunity like this pass me by.

My paddle went up before I even knew what she was auctioning or what the price would be.

“Whoa, hang on there,” said the auctioneer, gaining a smattering of laughter from the crowd. “Let me tell you what’s up for auction, first! The lovely Miss Candy wants to auction off her virginity today, but we’re starting out with just a little taste of our sweet treat here.”

A ripple of “oos” went through the crowd. I licked my lips and sat up in my chair, clenching my paddle hard in my hands so much that my knuckles turned white.

“Shall we start the bidding out at $3,000?” said the auctioneer.

My paddle flew up so fast it almost flew out of my hand.

“$3,500 anyone?”

A paddle in the back went up slowly. I was shocked. I almost forgot that anyone else was in the room as I stared at Candy. But, there was. And apparently there was someone there who really wanted a taste of whatever merchandise she was offering. I would put my paddle up when a new number was thrown out and the paddle would fly right back up. The numbers were climbing, but I didn’t give a fuck. Whatever it cost me, I was going to pay it.
