“Calm down. It was one shot. It’s not the end of the fuckin’ world,” I tell her.

“Are you crazy? I could have shot you!”

“Or yourself,” I remind her. Tears spring to her eyes as she looks at anything but me. That’s when I step into her space, grabbing her face with my hands so she has no choice but to look at me.

“We’re both fine, Princess. No one was hurt. Just don’t touch it again without me, okay?”

“Without you? I’m never touching that thing again!” I chuckle, and she steps back a little, letting my hands fall away from her face.

“You think it’s funny?” she asks.

“It was a little funny. You gotta admit,” I tell her. Slowly, and I mean slowly, I see the tears stop, and a small smile cross her face.

“I’ve held a fake one. I thought it might have been fake,” she admits as I burst into laughter.

“You think I’d carry a fake gun? Come on, Olson!” I laugh harder now. A fake gun? What kind of shit is that? Oh yeah, a fucking biker with a fake gun. That is epic. I’ve never heard anything as funny as this shit right here.

“Well, I didn’t know!”

“You watched the biker shows,” I remind her.

“And they all had fake guns!” she snaps as I continue to laugh. The next thing I know, she’s slapping at me.

“Stop laughing at me,” she orders, trying to be mad, but I can hear the laughter in her tone too. She slaps at me again, and I grab her wrists, tugging her against my chest before I do it. I know it’s wrong. I know it’s fucking stupid, but I lean down and brush my lips over hers. Call it pent-up energy. Call it whatever the hell you want, but I needed to do this. I needed to kiss this woman. I kiss her roughly, letting my tongue slide into her mouth to taste her. She tries to pull back, but I don’t let her. I keep her body pinned to mine, kissing her like I’ve never kissed anyone before. When I think I’ve had enough, I let her pull back. Her eyes are wide as she stares at me unsure of what to say.

“I won’t say sorry,” I tell her.

“I didn’t even brush my teeth yet,” she mumbles.

“What?”

“I didn’t even clean up or put on makeup or anything,” she adds as I shake my head, confused. What the hell is she talking about?

“I don’t get it,” I tell her.

“You kissed me.”

“You think I care about makeup and brushin’ your teeth first?” I ask, confused a little more.

“Don’t you?”

“No. Look at you; you’re fuckin’ gorgeous when you just wake up,” I tell her, meaning every single word. I don’t know what the hell I’m doing or why I’m saying it, maybe because she needs to hear it.

“You really think that?” she asks, sounding hesitant to believe what I’ve said.

“Of course, I think that. I wouldn’t have kissed you if I didn’t.”

Olson

He kissed me like a madman. He kissed me like he’d been starving to do it forever, and I let him. I let him kiss me.

I shake my head as I bring myself back to the meeting I had to attend. I zone out thinking about Ridge, and that’s probably not a good thing.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” My lawyer asks me. I nod my head.

“I’m sure. I just need to make sure it’s all finalized,” I tell him. He nods his head as he types out a few things on his computer. Ridge is right outside the door waiting for me.
