“I’ll help you,” I heard Happy mutter.

“Payne, send Malice a text. Tell him to lock that fucker’s cell and turn out the lights and to get his ass back in here.”

Payne nodded, doing as he was told.

“What I want to know is, did George ever know that he could be the father of Largo and Landon?” Fury questioned.

“He knew,” Happy admitted. “So did Stefano. They both fucked her that night. Loraine wanted a threesome and Stefano never told her no.”

“Jesus fucking Christ,” Montana cursed.

“And when the paternity test came back, showing George was the father...”

“He knew if the club ever found out that he’d cheated on Virginia and fathered another child, after what he forced the club to do to her, they would demand the same punishment. So, he went to Rafaello for help, using the blood bond to force Rafaello’s hand.”

“Fuck!” Montana shouted, jumping to his feet. “Do you realize what this will do to our alliance with the Romanos? If Renaldo has half a fucking brain in his head, he will vacate the alliance immediately, putting both of us at war with each other.”

“We’ve got bigger problems, Montana,” I snarled furiously. “That motherfucker tried to have my wife killed before she was even born. He’s complicit. He’s fucking known Largo was his daughter all this time. He sat right at this very fucking table and demanded that the club punish her. He punished his own fucking daughter to keep her quiet. For that alone, I demand retribution. I want that bastard punished. The Sinner Way.”

“I second the vote,” Malice said from the doorway.

Chapter Twenty-Six

Largo

Stone House,

“Here, Virginia,” Mrs. Alice sweetly said, placing a cup of tea before the sedate woman. Virginia hadn’t said a word since we left the clubhouse. Not that I expected her to say anything. The woman’s world was just rocked. Then again, so was mine. Wasn’t every day I learned that the man I thought was my dad wasn’t.

Or that I now have four older brothers.

I think that was tripping me out the most.

Montana Stone was my fucking brother, along with Arizona, Dakota, and Kansas.

Wow!

“Mom, why is Ms. Ginny upset?” my daughter asked, hugging my neck.

“Because she just learned some upsetting news, baby girl. Can you do me a favor and go check on York? Make sure he’s not getting into trouble.”

“Okay,” my daughter said, releasing me, only to stop before Virginia. “Ms. Ginny, it’s going to be alright. My dad will fix it. I know he will.”

Virginia looked at my daughter and smiled. “Thank you, Sophia.”

With Sophia now out of hearing range, I whispered, “What are you going to do now?”

Virginia was a stunning woman. Still runway beautiful after all these years. The woman turned heads wherever she went. Smart and capable of standing on her own two feet, I would never count Virginia Stone down and out. The woman was too damn determined to let this break her. If anything, I would say the woman was plotting and planning her next move.

Tessa walked into the kitchen, taking a seat at the small breakfast table we were sitting at and sighed. “Okay, the kids are in the playroom watching a movie. So, bring me up to speed. What happened?”

“Well, it looks like I’m your half sister-in-law. My real dad has a wandering dick and cheated on his wife with my mom. Which means my mom is a home wrecker,” I clipped nonchalantly.

“Don’t say that, Largo,” Virginia snipped. “Your mom loved you. She protected you, taught you to be the woman you are today. One mistake doesn’t define her life. As for the wandering dick, well, my gut is telling me there is more to this story than he’s letting on.”

“What do you mean, Virginia?” Tessa asked, looking at me.

“I’ve known George Stone since I was in my early twenties. The man I married is cunning, devious, and does nothing unless he benefits from it. What you girls see, the man he is with you two around, is a façade. It’s the same façade he shows the world when he’s in public. He can be a joyful, boisterous, loving man one minute and the next he wouldn’t think twice before putting a bullet in your eyes. Be warned. Never give that man anything you want to keep secret, because he will take that information and use it against you every time. The man is not who you think.”
