The dick’s smiling at me. “This isn’t the eighties. No one’s going to shoot for wanting out. Ink out your tattoos but keep your cut. Keep your bike. Most importantly, keep in touch, and don’t ever fucking forget we’re your family. You’ve given everything for this club. It’s about time it gave back to you.”

I hold it in, but the dry, harsh lump in my throat stops me from speaking. Mop slaps my back. Then they get out of their seats, and suddenly I’m swamped by them, a loud raucous ringing out.

Fuckers.

They took a vote to give me the life I want. Is it what I deserve? I can’t honestly say either way. But will I take it? Absolutely.

After I’ve hugged every one of them, I pull out my knife, then slip my leather off my back. The missing weight is freeing, but it also marks the end. I lay it on the table. Everyone’s silent, their gazes watching as I take off the President flash. My heart pulls, but dutifully, I hand it to the man now holding the reins, along with the gavel. “You need these.”

Travis nods. “I won’t let you down.”

“Couldn’t if you tried.”

He holds out his hand for me to take. I slap mine into his, and he embraces me, patting my back. This might be the end of one part of our lives, but it’s not like we’ll never see each other again.

“You know, we still have a decorating business to keep running.”

Travis laughs, stepping back. He keeps one hand on my shoulder. “It’s your turn to handle the business now. I got this.” He nods to the guys behind him.

Yeah, he does.

We make our way downstairs almost half an hour later. Between the sea of people, I spot my girl anxiously watching asthe guys file past me, stood on the last step. She checks their expressions, her eyes finally finding mine. I see worry in her eyes as she spots the empty space on my cut where the flash was.

She’s holding Grace, various wives and girlfriends all stood around her, cooing over the baby. But she’s not looking at them. She’s watching me, waiting for me to tell her we can now live the life we’ve dreamed of.

I take the last step, slowly making my way to my girls. The women around her move, and I come to a stop, towering over her. I kiss Grace’s head, then I stand, taking Mads’ face in my hands.

“Are you okay?” she asks unsure.

I smile, licking my lips before I push them to hers. I feel her tremble as I rest my forehead against the top of her head, looking down at her.

She blinks, her eyes filling with tears.

“You get all of me now, babe.” Her breath hitches. Relieved. “My good, my bad, it’s all yours.”

“Mine?” she asks on a whisper, the smile she’s giving me, glorious.

Curling my fingers, I tilt her head back so she’s looking up at me. My sunshine. “Yours.”

Epilogue One

MADISON

One year later

“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey, you’ll never know dear, how much I love you…”

The broadest of smiles stretches across my face. Has there ever been a sweeter sound? I stretch my arms above my head hearing Dean’s feet pad across the landing.

“There she is,” he says softly.

Grace is snuggled deep into his chest as he walks into our room. The light from the large bay window bounces off his skin, waking up all my senses. He’s wearing only boxers, his hair’s roughed up. My fiancé is devilishly handsome.

“Morning, baby.” I hold out my arms for Grace.

She swings down to me, and I take her letting her snuggle in close. I kiss her head as Dean places a cup of tea on the side. “What time is it?” I ask him laying back down.

Grace sips her milk from her bottle, her eyes dreamily half open. Her long brown curls are fanned across the sheets. She’s beautiful.
