“That was amazing,” I finally whisper to him. “The things you do to my body.” I shake my head because I have no words. He shifts so his hard dick brushes against my hip. Grinning, I reach over to slide my fingertips up and down its length. “I think someone gets turned on by eating me out.”

He grins and gives me a nod. “Fuck, baby, I get turned on just thinking about you. But you naked? Hell, I’m always hard.”

“I guess we’ll have to do something about that,” I murmur, pushing him onto his back so he’s at my mercy.

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN: RAFE

I let Viper take control. Because damn, if her hot little mouth isn’t heaven. My cock bobs in anticipation of her talented tongue. She keeps her deep blue eyes on me as she slides her tongue from root to tip. Hunger and desire flash in those pretty orbs when she tastes my pre-cum. The sight of my woman’s mouth wrapped around my dick drives away all my thoughts. She shifts so she can take more of me while fondling my balls with her fingers.

She has me so close to the edge; I have to fight the urge to bury my fingers in her hair and fuck her mouth. Instead, I slide my fingers between her silky locks. However, when she swallows around me, my hips jerk, forcing me in deeper. Tears form and fall as she hollows her cheeks. When my cock slips down her throat, she swallows, and I lose control. My fingers curl into her skull as my hips thrust forward until I block her air supply. My baby’s strong and could easily push me away, but she doesn’t. Instead, she takes what I give her. From the lust in her eyes, I know it’s what she wants, too. I slide back out so she can breathe before sliding back into her throat. When she squeezes my balls while swallowing my cock, I detonate. I watch in awe as she swallows every drop.

“Shit, baby girl, that was fucking amazing,” I tell her as I pull her up into my arms. She wraps her long leg over my waist before placing her cheek and hand on my chest. My right hand cups her ass while I grasp her right hand. We’re both breathing hard as if we’ve just completed a marathon.

I want to ask her how she’s feeling. If we drove away all the problems, but I don’t want to remind her of whatever put that frown on her face. I’ve never felt like this for anyone before her. I know I’m falling in love with her. It’s the easiest thing to do. But I fight it. Hell, we both fight it. When I’m lying here with her in my arms, it’s hard for me to remember why we have our walls up. I know tomorrow, when I’m back at work, I’ll struggle with what we’re doing. I’m a cop; I uphold the law. She’s a biker, a member of a motorcycle club that has no compulsion about breaking that law.

Knowing, analyzing, and re-analyzing our relationship will just keep me awake, I ignore the dilemma and focus on how perfectly Viper feels in my arms. Her breathing even outs, and I know she’s asleep. I turn off my troublesome brain and follow her into slumber.

The next morning, I leave Viper in bed as I get ready for work. Viper isn’t much of a morning person unless she’s camping. Then she’s up with the sun. As I watch her slumber, I fiddle with my tie. She’s the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen. Being with her is so easy, so why do I make everything so hard? When I look toward the future, I see her. I see us. I can’t imagine a life without her in it. So what am I waiting for? Do I think she’ll leave the club? I’d be a fool to expect it. Hell, I’m an asshole for even wishing for it. The club is her family; I know it. The weird part is that every day they become more and more my family. I need to decide about my future. About our future. I can’t help but think something’s ready to give, and I’ll need tomake a choice. Viper and I need to talk, but before we do, I need to figure out the mess in my head.

Pulling into the precinct’s lot, I mentally review my schedule for the day. Barry Jones is coming in to give me a statement. His alibi is key to proving Viper’s innocence. I know I should focus more on finding Wayne’s killer than on providing his daughter with an alibi, but I feel a sense of panic whenever I think of Viper being arrested for murder. Clearing her and Angela of his murder are important steps to solving the case. I’m aware of where my motivation lies, and it isn’t to find justice for Wayne. He can rot in hell for all I care.

I spot Barry the moment I enter the lobby. Suppressing a grin, I greet the biker. His demeanor is a mix of suspicion and guilt. As if being in a cop shop is akin to a prostitute entering a church. He’s judging us while knowing we’re judging him. I introduce myself before leading him into an interview room.

“You’re Viper’s Old Man,” Barry says as he takes the seat across from me.

His question surprises me. “How do you know that? Did she tell you about me?”

He nods. “We spent several hours talking. She told me about you and her brother. I haven’t spoken with her since she left my cabin. Did she and Max make up?”

“They did as soon as she returned to the clubhouse. They talked about their lives after her mother took her away, and I think Viper understands why Max waited to tell her. He was afraid if she knew their father was still alive, she might go after him by herself. He wanted to wait to tell her until after they patched her in.”

“So she’d have the club behind her?”

I nod. He’s a biker. He gets it. “Exactly.”

“Now she doesn’t have to. He’s dead,” Barry says. “I can give her an alibi for that night. I saw her bike around six-thirty inthe evening and went looking for her. She parked on my land. I found her campsite and arrived just as she was kicking the asses of three assholes who meant her harm.” He chuckles. “Although they were the ones hurting by the time she was done with them.”

“What time was that?” I ask him.

“Around seven. I knew a storm was coming, so I planned on telling the owner of the bike to take off since he was camping on my property. But when I realized she was a member of the Demon Dawgs, I offered her a place to stay for the night.”

“Because she’s a biker?”

He nods. “I used to belong to a club. Decades ago. I respect the life. Even though I’d never seen a club with chicks as members. Although from what Viper says, their President, Puma, is far from ordinary.”

I chuckle. “That’s one way to put it. Puma is, well, I’m not sure how to describe him. He’s someone you have to meet to believe.”

“I’m surprised he’s okay with one of his members dating a cop,” Barry says, his tone serious. “Most clubs would have buried both your bodies by now. He must have plans for you.”

While I should be angry that he believes I’m dirty, it’s the insult to both Puma and Viper that has me livid. “It’s fucking insulting to both Viper and Puma that you think he’s using her to coerce me. Puma doesn’t use his brothers or sisters that way.”

Barry holds his hand up in surrender. “No insult meant. You are either a dirty cop who doesn’t care about the grime or a clean cop without guilt. Only way to explain you jumping to protect Puma and Viper instead of defending yourself. I think I like you, Sterling. You ain’t half-bad for a cop.”

I roll my eyes but return to the reason he’s here. “What more can you tell me about the night in question?”

He studies me for a beat before finishing his statement. “She was with me from seven-thirty pm until eight the next morning. She slept in the room next to mine. I would have heard her leave. Besides, we locked her bike up in the shed next to mine. I’m the only one with a key, and I didn’t see any signs of tampering with the lock when I opened it the next morning.”

“So you’re certain she didn’t leave?”
