“You are ready for me,” Rick muttered between her lips. “I want to fuck you so badly, Charlie.” He rubbed her clit, causing her to nearly lose it. “Do you like this?”

“Yes,” she managed to answer, pushing her hips deeper with his working fingers. “Rick. Don’t stop.”

“How about this?” He started hooking his fingers and pumping inside her vigorously.

Gasping, she nodded. “Oh, god, yes. More.”

He increased the speed, smart enough to give her clit more attention. Waves of pressure climbed higher with every stroke of his deft fingers. She tried stifling her wails, not wanting to attract any late night strollers, so she clasped a hand over her mouth.

“Your pussy is so tight around my fingers. Tight and hot,” he whispered. “Are you close?”

She couldn’t respond. The words caught in her throat, but thesounds that came out were enough. The pressure on her core crested, then exploded. Her hand pressed tighter on her mouth as she screamed into it.

“Rick…” she groaned, throwing her head back as she rode the waves.

Rick continued the onslaught of her pussy, only slowing when she found her breath again. He raised his hand to lift her chin, and she could smell herself on his fingers.

He nibbled a spot on her neck. “If you come apart like that with just my hand, I can’t imagine how you would be when I fuck you.”

Goodness, she was barely returning to normal, and he was already tempting her again. The thought of having him inside surely spiked the electricity back.

“Mmm, we could put it to the test,” she said, lowering her hand to pet the bulge in his pants. “You’re already ready.”

He grunted, letting her stroke him. She loved the sounds he made, and felt him grow harder the more she groped. It was crazy, and much too bold for the Charlotte Ha she thought she knew, but she wanted Richard Min with a force that scared her.

She went for the button of his jeans, but he caught her wrist.

“Wait,” he said, gently guiding her hand off.

“What is it?” she asked, caught off guard.

“If we’re going to do this,” Rick started, pausing momentarily, “then we need to make things clear.”

“Okay.” She waited, straightening her clothes. He looked serious, but she couldn’t tell if it was a good or bad serious.

“You and my brother are close, and I would hate for that to change. You’re practically family to him. If we’re doing this—being intimate, having sex,” he clarified, “that really changes things.”

“I know,” she said softly. “Is that bad?”

He shook his head. “No, of course not. But I want you toknow what you’re signing up for. I’ve never been the kind to lead anyone on, so you have to know what to expect from me.”

“Alright, what should I expect?”

Rick blew a breath before continuing. “I’ve told you before about my feelings about relationships and marriage.”

She nodded. “You don’t believe in it or plan to get married.”

“Yes, and that still stands. So how do you feel about that?” he asked her. “I know you’re going to want to get married. You talk about it. If that’s what you want from me, then it won’t work out.”

Biting her lower lip, Charlie felt her stomach drop at his words. While he was being forthcoming, it hadn’t really occurred to her how it can be a problem for them. She was too enamored to think about the long term. Which meant…

She looked at him. “So you’re saying if we go on, it’s only going to be temporary?”

“If you want this with me, then I don’t want you to put your hopes up for anything lasting,” he said. “This sounds bad, and the way you’re looking at me makes it worse.” He rubbed his eyes before sighing. “I like you, Charlie. More than I ever thought I would, but I don’t want to disappoint you when things don’t work out.”

“Why don’t you think it’ll work out?”

“Because we’re too different,” he said gruffly. “You’re Charlotte Ha, daughter of some multi-million big shot, or whatever. You have people who clean after you, make you fresh, home-cooked meals, and press your laundry. You rarely wear the same things twice, and you can afford to order catering for an entire gym like the expense is just another swipe of the card for one lunch.”
