Daddy, with a mock-stern look, added, "Yeah, now you've done it. Prepare for the splashdown!"

Joe grabbed a nearby water gun and joined the fray, targeting Mike and me with precision.

Mike, with exaggerated horror, pleaded, "Mercy, mercy! I'm just a poor, defenseless boy!"

Elijah watched, his laughter ringing out as he cheered, "Go, Team Daddy, go!"

As we dried ourselves and moved on to the photo booth, Mike's enthusiasm for photobombing took center stage. He jumped into the frame, pulling a face that made him look like a cartoon character, his tongue sticking out and eyes crossed. In another, he popped up behind Elijah with a wide-eyed, tongue-out expression, his arms flailing like an octopus.

Elijah and I joined in, striking exaggerated poses. I pretended to faint dramatically, while Elijah mimicked a superhero stance, complete with a makeshift cape.

In another picture, I made bunny ears behind Daddy's head while Elijah crossed his eyes and puffed out his cheeks.

"Say cheese!" the photographer called, as we all burst into laughter, creating a snapshot filled with joy and silliness.

By the ice-cream van, I found myself leaning against the counter of the ice cream stand, watching Mike with a hint of suspicion. He had that mischievous glint in his eyes, the one that always spelled playful trouble.

Mike, with a swift motion, swapped our ice cream orders. I raised an eyebrow, looking down at the cone in my hand. It was a vibrant swirl of blueberry and bubblegum, a stark contrast to the chocolate fudge I had ordered.

"Alright, critics," Mike announced, holding his cone like a trophy, "let's have a taste test challenge!"

Elijah, ever the enthusiast, played along instantly. "Ah, yes, the refined palate test," he chimed in, examining his mint chocolate chip ice cream as if it were a rare gem.

I took a lick of my accidental choice, the flavors bursting in my mouth. "Hmm, this is an intriguing amalgamation of wild blueberries, dancing with the whimsical essence of bubblegum," I said, trying to keep a straight face. "A daring choice for the adventurous soul."

Mike burst into laughter, nearly dropping his cone. "Lina, you sound like one of those fancy food critics!"

Daddy, with a twinkle in his eye, tasted his peanut butter and jelly flavored ice cream. "Ah, I see," he began, his voice taking on a mock-serious tone, "this is clearly a sophisticated blend of creamy, nutty goodness with a hint of fruity mischief. Perfect for those who enjoy a walk on the wild side of life." His description was so over-the-top that I couldn't help but giggle.

The afternoon sun continued to shine as we moved on to a quiet corner. The Daddies had prepared a feast of sandwiches, snacks, and even a cozy blanket for us to sit on. I nestled close to Daddy before taking a seat in his lap, feeling content and carefree.

As I reached for a sandwich, Mike made a swift grab for it, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Ah, the sandwich thief strikes again!" he declared dramatically.

I feigned outrage, clutching my chest. "You fiend! How dare you steal from a hungry little girl?"

Mike laughed, handing me back the sandwich. "Only the best for our little princess," he said with a wink.

The highlight of the picnic, however, was Joe's homemade lemonade. It was met with delighted cheers from Elijah and me.

Mike stood up, his expression mock serious. "Now, now, let's not cheer too loudly. To a grumpy Daddy like him, that's like booing," he said, earning a chuckle from Daddy.

Joe handed out the lemonade with a smile. "Glad you like it."

Daddy tasted his and added, "It's actually quite good. Refreshing."

Mike took a sip, then nodded approvingly. "It's... edible. Not bad, Daddy."

Joe grinned. "My boy knows me so well."

Mike, smirking, sat back down. "I rest my case, as always, right again."

As the laughter died down, Daddy turned to me, his eyes gentle. "So, little one, have you enjoyed our day at the amusement park?" he asked, his voice soft yet filled with underlying excitement.

I looked up at him, my heart swelling with affection. "It's been amazing, Daddy. The best day ever. Thank you for planning all this."

He leaned closer, a warm smile on his lips. "Anything for my sweet girl."

Then as we decided to head out of the amusement park, I twirled slightly in my dress, a soft lavender one with delicate floral patterns, feeling its fabric brush against my skin. Daddy had given it to me on my birthday, and it had quickly become my favorite. It wasn't just its beauty that made it special; it was his loving gesture, the way his eyes lit up when he saw me wearing it.
