“Fuck, I don’t want this heat to ever go away. I want to be able to do this all the time, not just when I’m in heat.” I chuckled as I slowly removed myself from her. Even though I wanted to stay inside her as long as I could, I collapsed down against the rock as she straddled me.
“If you stayed in heat, we wouldn’t get anything done and our pack would demote us for not being good leaders.”
Nikita smiled before leaning down and kissing me. The way she kissed me kept me grounded with all of these emotions running through me. At this time I could fuck her again and still not have enough of her. It was a good thing that she had gone into heat this month rather than the month we would have her Luna ceremony.
“So, do you think we need to be getting back to the pack house? I’m surprised your guard isn’t here to make sure I don’t kill you.”
“Yeah, it might be wise to get back to the pack. The only thing is I’m going to need you to get me some clothes. I have a shirt, but my underwear and pants are at the bottom of this lake.” I kissed her forehead and sat back up with her in my arms. “You know, no one would know that we are here. No one ever comes this close to the waterfall.”
“Then it will still be our little place together. Even with the Luna ceremony being held in the field before the lake.”
I nodded to her and smiled. As much as I hated to admit it, I was in debt to the Moon Goddess. She knew who I needed, and that was Nikita. Even though she was ten years younger than me, she completed me.
Chapter Twenty-Three
Nikita
Being in heat had its wonderful moments, and then it had its terrible moments.
The enjoyable moments was when Fin was near enough to make the ache go away. And damn, could he make them go away. When he knotted inside of me. I thought I was going to pass out with how full and stretched I was. Regular sex was going to be something I would have to get used to when this was all over.
The bad moments were when Fin wasn’t near and I had to either wait on him to come back or handle the deed by myself. And that didn’t last as long as when he fucked me.
One of the heat moments hit when I was talking with one of the other she-wolves that was around my age and Fin had walked in through the front doors with Harlen. Fin’s head snapped to me and his nostrils had flared. Which made me even more wet when his wolf’s blue eyes took over Fin’s.
Just with that one look, he sent shivers down my body and I had to excuse myself away from the she-wolf. I felt like a teenager trying to get my kick before the adults found out. Fin was so much more in control than I was about this. He had warned me about getting pregnant, but at this point I didn’t even care because fuck, it felt so good!
I mean, he had gotten his chosen pregnant and apparently she didn’t ever go into heat. So if the Moon Goddess wanted me to be a mother, then that was my destiny. I wanted to run to him and jump him right here in the packhouse’s foyer, but there were far too many young eyes.

Yes, badly. Are you going to do something about this?I coyly smirked as I turned my back to him and pulled my hair to the other side of my neck. Showing off my mate mark to him. He groaned in our mindlink, but I knew that everyone in this room could see that something was up between us.
Harlen nodded to him and I could feel the unease flowing through the mindlink, but it wasn’t more than the desire that rode with it. Fin didn’t enjoy putting off his duty as Alpha, but Harlen was smiling as Fin made his way over to me.
You are making this entire room smell like you.Fin growled in my mind.
I’m trying to entice my mate to come breed me.I answered back and the growl that came from him stopped everything and everyone in the room.
Fin crashed his lips to mine as soon as he reached me before picking me up and carrying me down the hall to his office. It was the closest place to get to. I needed him now and if he didn’t hurry, I just knew I was going to die with need.
You are going to have all these males in this house at my office door if you don’t control this.Fin was on edge but continued toward the office door.
Then I guess you need to take care of me. It’s your fault that it’s this bad. You haven’t touched me since this morning.I quipped back at him and nipped his ear lobe.
Fin shouldered the door to the office open and kicked it closed. His lips and nips with his teeth, never leaving my neck and collarbones. The crashing of things from his desk didn’t faze us as he placed me on the top of the wooden furniture.
I grabbed his shirt and tore it in half, which allowed my hands to slide over his muscular torso. The sparks chasing my hands as they went to his pant button. Fin continued his assault on my neck and jaw as I fumbled with his pants.
Damn this man’s control. Fin’s hands went under my ass, bringing my core closer to the bulge in his pants. One that I was trying my hardest to get out and slip inside of me. I wanted to feel that fullness again. Enyo was on her back in my mind, her tail wagging.

“Fuck, Nikita!” The deep timbre of his voice excited me even more than his fingers slipping into the top of my jeans. Fin pulled them from my body and down to my feet.
