We had showered and dressed in more classy clothes than what we would normally wear. As we entered the dining room, I noticed that a lot of the wolves were here and already sitting waiting for Fin and me to get there. Alpha Roy and Luna Adia were at our table and Adia was talking to Bella.
Roy looked like he was about to blow a gasket. The good thing this time was that Fin moved me to the chair that he normally sat in and sat beside Alpha Roy. I didn’t like that he was that close to Roy, but I knew he wouldn’t be so bold to try to kill him in a room full of another pack.
Fin kept his hand on my upper thigh as he talked with Alpha Roy about the Luna ceremony and the Dolostone crystals. I didn’t understand why we were still giving him the crystals when I should’ve been the bridge of our pack’s alliance, but it seemed that Alpha Roy had another thing he wanted out of this. Other than Fin dead.
Fin, do we have a guard to keep an eye out? There is something else that just doesn’t sit right with me.

When the omega sat down my plate, I glanced over to Fin. My favorite dinner had been made, and I was excited to have it again. The head chef had made the caprese chicken my first night, and I had fallen in love with the dinner. Beside the main dish was a baked potato with sour cream, cheese, butter and bacon bits and corn next to it.
“Thank you, Fin..” I kissed him on the cheek and waited for the rest of the wolves to get their plates.
Fin squeezed my upper thigh, which started the whole need for him again. I finally got control of the need before he slid his hand up my skirt. Which in turn made me wet and the unmated wolves in the room turned to find the scent.
Fin you need to stop. The other wolves are noticing.I sighed in my head as I tried my best to rein in the control that he took from me.
Feisty wolf, you need to learn some control. As good as you are as a warrior, I expected some control.
My heart was racing as the wolves continued to search for my smell. The only reason they hadn’t found it was because of Fin’s scent right beside me. Damn him and his control. Enyo wasn’t much help either, as she rolled over onto her back and wagged her tail.
I bit my lip to hold back the moan that threatened to escape me when his fingers slid against my slit. When his skin brushed against my bare core, I tightened my legs against his hand to try to get him to stop. Fin leaned over and ran his tongue along the shell of my ear before fanning it with his warm breath. Which just made me wetter.
Why are you doing this?
Because Alpha Roy is over here, squirming more than those unmated wolves are at the other end of the room.

Fin pulled his hand out just as one of the deltas bowed his head and stood waiting for acknowledgement. My mate kissed my cheek before turning his attention completely to the wolf in front of us.
“Yes, Dawson?”
If he wanted to play that game, I could too. I slipped my hand into the crotch of his lap and palmed the bulge in his pants. It twitched each time my fingers caressed it and I didn’t miss each time he tried to reposition himself.
“Alpha, we have the lake ready for tomorrow. Is there anything else that you would like done before tomorrow?”
Fin cleared his throat and moved again to try to keep my hand from my target. He cleared his throat again before his hand went to his lap and tightened on mine.
“No, Dawson. Thank you for your help. Get some food along with the others.”
The wolf in front of us bowed his head before his eyes glanced over at me and his nostrils flared. He then bowed to me and left to get a plate and to get the other wolves that had been with him.
Bella was right. Most of the unmated males didn’t act on a female in heat. I didn’t think that he would try to mess with his Alpha’s mate. But there was always that chance.
“Alpha Fin, maybe you should take Nikita to your room. Every male in this room is uncomfortable with her being in heat.” Alpha Roy’s voice silenced the entire room as each of the pack looked to their Alpha.
Fin turned to Roy, and I could feel the anger through our bond. This wasn’t going to be good. I glanced over to Harlen before placing my hand on Fin’s shoulder.
“Are you trying to tell me what to do with my Luna in my own territory?” Fin’s wolf was at the surface and if the wolves were uncomfortable before, they were tense now.
“Well, look at them. Is there a reason why the females in heat are not somewhere else?”
