“I have 10 yards of bubble wrap so we can do each camper’s bed,” Parker was saying when I tuned back in.
I blinked.“Do their bed?”
“We put it under their fitted sheet.The reactions will be hilarious.Takes the sting out of fighting over who gets what bunk.”Well, I supposed things would be a little different with Parker.
“Oh god,” I groaned.“Can I switch back to having Aiden as my co-counselor?”
Parker just laughed, and Aiden wrapped both arms around me and hugged me close.

Parker frowned, looking wounded, and went quiet.He didn’t say anything more until we were alone, setting up the cabin, which was a long stretch for him.
“Why doesn’t Ben like me?Is it my sexy looks or winning personality?”His joke seemed a little strained, as if he was truly bothered by what Ben had said, but trying to cover it with humor.
“Just spit balling here, but the way you worded that question could be a hint,” I said, winking.
Parker burst out laughing, and I found myself liking him a little more.“Perhaps he has a secret crush on me and lacks the emotional intelligence to express his feelings.”
