“I know you will. I’d say I’d return the favor, except I wouldn’t ever have to.”

“I may not be in risk of having my heart broken in that way, but that doesn’t mean I won’t need your support. After all, I have in the past.”

Jillian’s voice took on a haunted quality. Victoria remembered all too well the depression Jillian had fallen into after her father, her last remaining family member, had passed away. She’d had to go over once a day to force Jillian to eat and shower.

Eventually, Victoria had practically dragged her off to see a shrink. She was put on medication, and the depression passed. She’d been off medication for a year now, but Victoria still worried about her.

“I’ll be there if it happens again. You know that.”

“Yeah, I know. And if Alexa hurts you, I’ll be waiting to key her car on your command.”

Victoria laughed. “Thanks, but I don’t think that will be necessary.”

“We’ll see. So, tell me more about her.”

“She’s amazing,” Victoria gushed. “Did you know she favors late style fifteenth century art, just like I do?”

“I don’t even know what that’s supposed to look like.”

“Which is exactly why you’re not invited to our next date. We’re going to an art gallery.”

“That sounds fun—for you, anyway. I know how much you love your art. What else did you two talk about?”

“Everything. I think for our third date, I’ll invite her to volunteer at an animal shelter with me. We were talking about it…”

Victoria rhapsodized about Alexa to Jillian for almost an hour before Jillian called an end.

“By the sounds of it, I’m sure you can go on about how wonderful she is all night, but I don’t have the same high you do giving me energy. I think I’m going to fall asleep if I stay on the phone much longer.”

“Oh, right.” Victoria glanced at the clock. It was almost midnight. “Yeah, I should let you go.”

“You must keep me updated about Alexa.”

“Oh, trust me, I will. You’ll get sick of hearing about her before too long.”

“I look forward to it. Goodnight, Victoria.”

“Sleep well. Chat tomorrow.”

Victoria was too buzzed to go to sleep right away, so she put on some soothing music and lay down, trying to get her mind to shut up. Eventually, when she forced the thoughts of Alexa out of her head, at least until tomorrow, the lateness of the day started to catch up for her.

When she was sufficiently drowsy, Victoria turned off the music and used a face wipe to get most of the makeup off. She didn’t bother to do more than that before falling into bed.

Her sleep wasn’t peaceful. Victora woke up with a start, covered in sweat with the sheet tangled between her legs.

She felt herself blushing as she remembered the vivid dream. She hadn’t had a sex dream in years, let alone with someone as attractive as Alexa.

It had her all hot and bothered, to say the least. Victoria slipped a hand between her legs to find herself soaking wet.

She panted as she lazily touched her clit, remembering the images of the dream.

In the dream, she and Alexa hadn’t ended their kiss in the parking lot. They had somehow ended up in the back seat of Victoria’s car. The small space hadn’t hindered them for long in their quest to take each other’s clothes off.

Victoria had kissed every inch of Alexa’s skin as it was exposed, soon leaving Alexa a writhing mess beneath her. She’d straddled Alexa’s thigh, grinding herself down onto it, letting the pressure on her clit fan the flames of desire licking her insides.

Alexa reached up and caressed Victoria’s bare breasts, causing Victoria to arch into her hand. Her nipples hardened as Alexa took them gently between finger and thumb.

“Harder,” Victoria gasped. “Oh, God, yes, just like that!” The edge of pain as her nipples were squeezed tightly only added to the pleasure. If she wasn’t careful, she was going to get herself off on Alexa’s thigh, and Victoria didn’t want it to be Alexa’s thigh she came on.
