“Yup.” She smiles at me, and a different kind of hunger roars through my chest, fogging my brain.

Her eyes crinkle at the corners, her excitement at talking about something she loves palpable. She’s glowing.

Breath lodges in my throat. I have no idea where it comes from, but I want to make her this happy every single day. I want to see her beam at me like the sun shines out of my ass.

“I loved them since I was in college. I used to listen to their songs while I sketched or painted through the night.”

“Have you ever seen them live?”

She sighs and chews the sticky rice slowly before answering, “No. I’ve always wanted to, but somehow, I was always busy when they had shows anywhere near me.”

Max sets the fork down and tilts her head to the side, a soft smile on her lips. “Can I tell you something?”

“Sure.”

“I’m scared to go to concerts. Scared of the crowd. Scared of being trapped. Scared of stampedes. Just like those horrible stories you see on the news.”

“I’ll come with you, make sure you’re safe.”

She eyes me up and down and smiles again. “Okay.”

I stand and stalk to her. “You think I can’t do that?”

“N-no. Of course not. I think you can.”

“You don’t believe me.”

She scoffs. “Mika, I?—”

I don’t let her finish her sentence because I sweep her into my arms and bruise her lips with the force of my kiss. Jesus, I can’t get enough of her. I’m like an addict always looking for the next high.

Max giggles in between kisses as I back us from the table.

When the backs of my knees hit the edge of the sofa, I slump down, bringing her with me.

Max straddles my lap and nibbles on my bottom lip. “We shouldn’t be doing this.”

“Why?”

“You’re my friend’s nephew?”

“So?”

“You’re also way younger than me.”

“So?”

“We need to stop.”

“Okay.”

Max lifts her shirt, tosses it behind her, and repositions herself so she’s right on top of my cock. “Like, seriously. We should just go to our bedrooms and sleep.”

I smirk and let my hands fall to my sides. “Okay.”

My brain stops working when she reaches into my pajamas and pulls out my stiff member. I throw my head back and swallow hard, painfully aware that I’m burning through my last shreds of self-control and I’m close to pouncing on her like an animal.

“We only just met,” the maddening woman continues. “We need to be just roommates for a few days. You know, get to know each other first.”
