“Soon as I make sure things are good for you and your friends, I will join you.”

“Great. It’s time we start enjoying ourselves and leaving my family’s drama out.”

“Here’s my present.” Slipping his hands down my back, he takes a hold of both ass cheeks, grinning.

“Down boy.”

Biting his top lip, he groaned, and I captured his lips one more time then released him, grabbing my purse and shawl.

Turning 23 was not a big deal, but I was grateful to have a husband who wanted me to be happy and protected me and his family.

We piled in our respective cars. The girls each had a car with their husbands, leaving the kids at home with the grandparents to come out and celebrate my birthday. Renato and Savio had reservations about me, but I honestly ignored our last conversation to focus on my relationship with Vincenzo. One thing I did learn was how to put what was important first, above everyone else.

While interlocking our hands on the drive, I listened to Vincenzo give out orders to the staff that we’d be arriving soon. He did all the planning with the girls and set up a private area in the restaurant at the casino for about twenty of us. Cassandra decided to bring Ralph after talking with him these past few weeks.

Glistening lights filled the front entrance, along with a red carpet and photographers, like we were real celebrities.

“Vincenzo, you went all out.”

“Anything for you.”

“Thank you, but don't you need to keep a low profile.”

“We’re businessmen above all else, baby.” Vincenzo winked, pushed the door open, helped me out, and shut it behind me. He wrapped his arm around my waist and grinned for the cameras.

“Mr and Mrs. Calabresi, over here.” A photographer called our name as more cars pulled up, guests waving and stepping to the side waiting to get in the picture.

Cassandra barged through the crowd, grinning wide. “Nyla, you look amazing.”

“Thank you, so do you. I see Ralph is here.” Sticking my finger out, I poke in her arm.

“Taking it one day at a time.”

I leaned forward, whispering in her ear, “He must have eaten that pussy.”

“Ate it all up.” Cassandra giggled and had me dying laughing. Vincenzo shook Ralph’s hand. I guess he’d learned not every guy is trying to fuck his wife.

Vincenzo directed everyone to follow inside through the front entrance. I lifted the train of my black Gucci gown. Vincenzo’s money had come with a new wardrobe upgrade, and I had to tell myself not to turn it down every time I came across what I liked. The wives reminded me that spending their billionaires’ money was what they wanted us to do.

The restaurant had a large sign on the front entrance with a picture of me posing from a photo that Vincenzo must have taken when I wasn’t looking. My locks were high on top of my head, my long diamond earrings were dangling, and I was showing my curves in a pink lacy dress.

Cupping my chin, I tried to will the tears away from falling. Missing my parents was the worst, but having a new family to enjoy these moments made me feel better.

“Here’s your private area, Mr. Calabresi.” The hostess motioned to the back room, a long table decorated in pink and black, my favorite colors.

“Baby, you’ve done too much.” I walked around the room. The table had name cards; Cassandra was next to me, and Vincenzo sat at the other end of the table.

“There’s more coming, and I have the club ready whenever you want to go.” Vincenzo grasped my chin, sticking his tongue in my mouth.

“Save the love for when you’re home please,” Rena huffed.

Vincenzo stepped back, wiping the lipstick off his lips. I took a seat as the waitstaff poured our champagne.

“Toast before I go check on the food. To my beautiful wife, you and I came in like bulls, clashing in the beginning, but I have no regrets and I love you more and more every day,” Vincenzo said.

“I love you.” Raising my glass in the air, I danced in my seat in excitement. Vincenzo left the room as I listened to Cassandra and Ralph read at the menu.

“A preset menu?” Cassandra emphasized.
