“Greece.”

“Greece sounds nice,” Cassandra said.

“Where did you stay?”

“Mykonos.”

Rena raised her hands in the air, clapping in excitement. “Greece is our trip.”

“Adelina will love planning and forcing the boys to put business aside,” Cora giggled.

“Thanks, ladies. I have to get home and change; my man is taking me out for dinner.” After standing, I grabbed my phone and purse.

Cassandra rose from her seat.

“Let me know if you need any help with the work hunt,” Cora yelled out.

“I will, thank you.” Walking around the table, I hugged each one and waved goodbye.

Sitting back in the car, Cassandra tittered at something on her phone, pushing it in front of my face.

“He sent an apology.” She waved the photo of flowers on her front porch.

“Ralph seemed cool; you should give him another chance.”

“Probably, but I need someone not easily intimidated,” Cassandra mentioned.

“Carter, can you run to the salon? I have an appointment in five minutes.”

Figured I would get my hair refreshed before the big date with Vincenzo.

“Yes, ma'am.”

“Lana squeezed you in?” Cassandra inquired.

“Yep, I promised her an extra bonus—plus I would throw in some advertisements through Vincenzo’s casino.”

“You actually liked working at the casino?”

“It was cool.”

“Why not do something officially there?”

“Like what?”

“Advertising, setting up events, you know, being a real socialite.”

I laughed and waved off her comment. “Vincenzo would never let me go back to work for him.

“Have you talked to him?”

“No, and I would rather keep our thing personal without mixing business.”

She opened and closed her mouth.

“I know it’s a contradiction after what happened, but it’s better for us.”

“As long as you're happy.”
