Sparks fly when the town's head librarian goes head-to-head with Welkins Ridge's new fire chief!
Head librarian Blaze Wilder has seen her budget cut over and over again. When the town council announces that the new building she's been promised might go to the fire department instead, her fiery temper leads her straight to a confrontation with the station Chief. She’s not going to concede her library’s last best hope to an over-muscled jock… even one as alarmingly handsome as this one.
Chief Jeremy Wainwright is a reasonable guy, but when a feisty librarian walks into his station making demands, he starts getting hot under the collar. He needs to hire more men to help keep the town safe, and for that, he needs more space. He’s not about to give up his claim on the building—no matter how attracted he is to Blaze’s flashing blue eyes or lush curves.
But the two of them just can’t seem to avoid each other. First, the Chief moves in next door to Blaze. Then they become reluctant allies when a third rival appears on the scene, forcing them to work together for the sake of the town.
