He fell first. He fell second. And she's happily caught in the middle.

Emily Avery:

When I’m in love, I’m all in.

I don’t think that’s such a bad thing, but according to my exes it is.

When I fell in love with Bryce, I knew he was the one. We've been together for a year and he's the epicenter of my universe.

After a day from hell that culminates in losing my job, he's the first person I run to.

But instead of comfort, I find another woman in his bed.

Devastated, I rush home to vent to my roommate, Sebastian. As my brother’s best friend, he’s known me for years and has all the right words—and delicious food—to cheer me up.

He also has a lead for a new job—the social media manager for the Vancouver Evergreens. Sebastian is the hockey team’s private chef, so I have an excellent shot at getting the job.

At the stadium, I meet Mac Savage, the Evergreens' up-and-coming star. As their newest center, he’s setting records left and right and has a smile that lights me up.

I agree to go on a date with him and am completely thrown off when Sebastian acts all protective-older-brother, practically growling at Mac as he picks me up.

When I find out the two of them have history, I wonder if this is a solution to my problem. All of my exes have told me I’m too much, but maybe they weren’t enough.

Maybe I was destined to be loved by two men.
