Lucy, or ZenInTheCity to her million-plus online followers, is head-over-heels in love with her boyfriend, Mateo; however, she can’t shake the nagging feeling that something vital is missing in their relationship.
After receiving an anonymous text with a photo of Mateo and her best friend having an affair, Lucy’s emotions spiral out of control. She logs out of all her accounts and ghosts her followers. For an entire week, she isolates herself, wallows, struggles with intense anxiety, and actively avoids any social interaction. During this time, Lucy discovers the affair may have been staged for a social media stunt.
But when she finally gets the courage to confront Mateo and demand honest answers, Lucy gets more than she bargained for—Mateo may be innocent of cheating, but her relationship is missing something important—his two best friends.
Navigating an uncharted relationship with three men, Lucy confronts public scrutiny, anxiety, and threats to her reputation. Can she find balance in the face of relentless social pressure while exploring her blossoming, dark sexual desires, after a lifetime of keeping it safe?
