After being held prisoner and abused by an evil man who claimed to be her Daddy, Clare Newman knows she will never trust a man with her Little side ever again, and so turns her back on something she loves, burying a huge part of her heart and soul.

Maddox “Max” Rourke, part of the team of ex-military Daddies that rescued Clare from that hell, knows that despite needing nothing more than to wrap Clare up in his arms and protect his baby-girl from the world, his presence will always remind her of the worst moment of her life.

But Clare isn’t safe and someone vicious wants nothing more than to take back forcibly what he considers stolen property, and to destroy all those standing in his way.

Can Max convince Clare to give their love a chance and accept who they both are? Or will she push him away, and not only break both their hearts but also put herself right back into the path of certain danger?

A danger not even Max may be able to save her from this time.
