He was my best friend, my first love, and the hockey prodigy who broke my heart. Now he’s back… and he wants a second chance.

Eight years ago, Ryder Scott was everything to me. My first friend, my first kiss, my first… everything. He was the complete high school sweetheart.
Then he got drafted and left Iron Ridge without a fight. Without me.
Now he’s the Icehawks’ golden boy rookie with a million-dollar smile and abs that should be illegal.
I tell myself I can handle it. Be professional. Keep my distance.
But Ryder doesn’t play fair.
He remembers how I take my coffee. He shows up when my rescue dogs get sick or the animal shelter I run feels overwhelming. He fixes my broken truck without being asked and calls me “Bestie” like no time has passed at all.
The worst part? When he looks at me now, I see the boy who once promised me forever.
The problem is, I’m not seventeen anymore. And falling for Ryder Scott twice feels like the kind of mistake that could destroy me.
But when he whispers that he’s been thinking about me every day for eight years? That leaving me was the biggest regret of his life?
I’m starting to think some mistakes are worth making.

Rookie’s Redemption is a sizzling second-chance, friends-to-lovers, small-town sports romance featuring a golden retriever hockey player determined to win back his high school sweetheart.
