Reese’s plan to stay safe after being doxxed: Fake date her hot alien bodyguard.

For ten years, I’ve lived two separate lives. One life as Reese, a normal human woman who lives in a one-bedroom apartment, uses online dating apps, and is unremarkable. The other life is as Empress, the masked pop star known for her provocative singing, dancing, and attitude.

When someone leaks all of my personal information, my two lives are brought together. Inappropriate questions and speculations on my life are the least of my concerns when someone is breaking into my apartment and stalking me. Whether I like it or not, I need a bodyguard.

Zill’s plan to remain professional: Don’t tell his client that she’s his soulbond until after the job is done.

Being asked to guard a pop star on Earth should be one of the easiest jobs I’ve ever taken. Then I meet Reese, and I realize nothing about this is going to be easy. Sombrans, like me, have no interest in anyone except for our soulbonds. It’s why the idea of pretending to be Reese’s fake boyfriend sounds great in theory, except when it turns out Reese is the other half of my soul. Now I have to navigate keeping her safe, playing my part, and figuring out who’s trying to hurt her, all while pretending I’m not actually desperate for her.
