She was sold to settle a debt. He bought her to break a curse.

Jeanne Lavigne has spent six years hiding what she is: a human omega in a world where wolf packs rule the seas and women like her are hunted, hoarded, and claimed. When her father’s gambling debts come due, she’s dragged aboard the most feared ship on the Crimson Sea and delivered in chains to the alpha who purchased her.

Captain Anatole Bluebeard.
The monster whose omega brides keep dying.
Six wives. Six graves. And a locked door no one may open.

Anatole has watched every woman he’s tried to love die screaming in a cursed room he cannot destroy. The sea witch’s magic demands a price he’s paid six times over, and he’s stopped believing in salvation. Jeanne is different. Human. The curse was never designed for someone like her.

She might survive what the others couldn’t.
But his wolf recognizes her the moment her scent hits him. Mate. The one word he’s spent twelve years dreading. Because wanting her might be the thing that finally kills her.
The curse requires true love, freely given, to break it.

As Jeanne’s heat approaches and the forbidden door calls to her in dreams, she must decide: fight the pull of a room that promises death, or surrender to the bond with an alpha she was never meant to love.

And Anatole must choose between protecting her from the curse… or letting her close enough to save them both.
