Oleander

While Mike and the rest of the new Fire and Rescue team are getting settled in, one of the firefighters has made a friend. Dorothy Martin is an elderly woman that appears to just be lonely. Roderick visits her frequently, truly enjoying her company. Until the morning he gets word that she’s died, right there on her front porch in her rocking chair. But nothing is adding up. Oleander is found on her skin. Her blood sugars were far too low at the last reading and as it turns out, Miss Dorothy has a very complicated past.

When a corrupt drilling company is trying to hide the evidence from a rig explosion and fire, no one expects that it will lead them on a wild goose chase. But Luke and the boys aren’t giving this one up easy. Miss Dorothy deserves peace and the families of the victims of the drilling accident deserve answers.
