The military is all I have known. Growing up the daughter of a soldier, losing my mom at a young age, I had no one but my dad and his love of the service, so why not dedicate my life to it as well? It was all fine until Manny walked into my clinic and changed everything I thought I wanted.
The problem is, we are bound by military rules and codes of conduct not conducive to the heat we feel for one another. Is either one of us ready to give up the career we have built for love?

Here I was feeling sorry for myself, worried this last injury would push me into early retirement and then poof, like an angel straight out of heaven, she greets me when I walk into her clinic and I know the real reason I got hurt. It was to find her. She is perfect in every way. Now, I just have to convince her that we deserve our happily ever after as well and she doesn't have to give up anything to grab it with both hands.
Every sacrifice I have to make to have her is worth it. As long as she feels the same.
