My time in the military changed me and when I came back home to Jasper Ridge, I retreated to the mountains. It’s quiet and safe here, but it’s lonely as well. I’ve made my peace with it. I have my cabin, I have my dog, I have my solitude. What more could I want?
When a beautiful woman shows up with hope in her eyes while telling me she’s in Jasper Ridge to become my wife, it becomes clear that someone has decided to stick their nose in my business. I never put out the ad Lake saw, but she’s definitely here for me. How it happened doesn’t matter because I’m not letting her go.
I wasn’t expecting to give my heart or a ring to a woman, but now I’m doing both. With her in my arms, I remember the joy of Christmas and can see a future with her. Santa wasn’t the one who brought Lake to me, but whoever did will forever have my gratitude.

I’ve been feeling stuck and suffocated for far too long. I hate my job. My brother, who is part of the Devil’s Saints MC, will always see me as his younger sister instead of a woman who knows her own mind. As the holidays roll around, I’m determined to do something about it.
If Santa could give me a sign, that would be great, especially with my brother out of town. I have an opportunity and I don’t want to let it pass me by. When I come across a way to get out of town and head somewhere new, getting married to a stranger feels like a fair trade. I never expected Gannon to be my intended husband.
He’s gruff and grumpy, but I’m used to men like that. The surprise on his face when I show up on his doorstep doesn’t deter me, and the way it morphs into heat tells me married life will be better than I was anticipating. I’ll remind my new husband what Christmas is all about and then we’ll build a life together that’s worth living.
