“So, why did you come?”

“Medrion is coming… I may not get another chance.”

“Another chance for what?”

SARAKIEL

He took a sudden step, closing the gap between us; I was almost sure he could feel the tension and anticipation coming off me. He took hold of my hip with one hand and plunged his other hand into my pink hair, gently holding the back of my neck. Our eyes locked for a moment before he kissed me, pressing his lips against mine with the force of a waterfall.

Like his life depended on it.

I didn’t shy away. I breathed deeply of his scent. Once upon a time, the heady aroma of corruption was all I could get from him. But now, there was so much more to it; it was familiar, comforting, and beneath the layers of sweet, alluring Sin, I sworeI could smell home—Heaven. Hungrily I deepened the kiss, pressing my lips against his and matching his intensity before pulling away slightly.

“Oh,” I breathed against his lips, “Thisis what you meant.”

“Tell me now if you wish for me to stop,” he said, his voice low and breathy.

I kissed his lower lip, tugged on it, and released it; playfully. “Don’t you dare,” I whispered.

Abaddon grinned. His hands slid down my back to rest against the back of my thighs. He lifted me, then, before laying me down on the ashen bed the volcano had left for us.

Behind him, above him, the sky was filled with millions of stars twinkling silently away. A beautiful tapestry of colored lights intricately displayed and glittering in unison. My eyes focused on him, though, on the light inhiseyes.

Light which was infinitely more beautiful.

But there was something in them that I hadn’t expected to see. Shame? He looked hesitant. Like he shouldn’t be doing this. I placed a hand on his cheek, my fingers delicately stroking his jaw. I pulled his face toward mine again, letting my lips part slightly to receive his.

His kiss was careful this time, but after a moment, it became firm and confident. I felt his tongue seek mine out. It was gentle, and soft, and it only allowed us to kiss even more deeply, more tenderly. Kissed in a way I had never been kissed before.

And I had never been kissed before.

Ever.

Abaddon let one of his hands slide down the length of my ribs, his touch igniting my skin, but he didn’t stop at my waist. His fingers went for my belt, and before I knew it, he was undoing the clasp. My breathing quickened. My heart started hammering a staccato beat that I was sure could be heard down the volcano.

I was excited in a way I never thought I could be. I was being touched in a way I’d never imagined I ever would be. I wanted it to go further, to see what he would do to me—to experience it all, but only because it washim.

Abaddon removed my belt and broke the kiss. I arched my back as he slid his fingertips into the waistband of my trousers and allowed him to slide them off, tossing them aside. I felt entirely vulnerable; I’d been naked in front of him before—back at his bastion, in the shower room—but that had been about control, and Lust. This was different, it felt like he was truly seeing me and wanting me, and not just for my body.

He drew his fingertips along my legs as he moved to kneel before me, rested his hands on my knees and gently parted my legs. My stomach fluttered with butterflies, and I bit my lower lip in anticipation of whatever he was about to do. Abaddon kept his eyes locked on mine as he slid down to his elbows and pulled my legs up and over his shoulders.

“What are you doing?” I breathed.

“Quiet, Lightbringer,” he growled. “You will enjoy this.” Gingerly he lowered his chin into the space between my legs, and gently kissed my underwear.

Stars exploded in front of my eyes.

That feeling—that sudden burst of warm excitement that surged through me—it was like nothing I had ever experienced before. I shuddered, my entire body quaking as Abaddon planted kiss after soft kiss against my underwear. I could only hold my breath as with his fingertips, he pulled my underwear aside.

When he flicked his tongue against me, my back arched, and I pushed my head in to the soft ash below me. I moaned, then; the low, primal sound escaping my lips unbidden. He stopped, and I looked down to see his teasing grin; he was clearly enjoying the effect he’d had on me. I reached for his head with my hands, one grabbing his hair gently and the other wrapped around one of his horns. I pulled him toward me, urging him to continue, needing it desperately.

The relief when he placed his lips against me once more, the world around us fell away and all I could concentrate on was him and the rising crescendo between my legs. I couldn’t stop moaning, my entire body was rocking, hips bucking against Abaddon’s mouth.

“Don’t stop,” I gasped. My breaths were coming in short and quick, my thighs clenching around the sides of his head. The feeling that had been growing with every kiss and lap of his tongue spilled over, and a pulse of pure warmth and pleasure tore through me so suddenly, I couldn’t help but cry out into the night.

I opened my eyes to stars; some sparkling in front of my eyes, others winking in the distance above us. I felt light-headed and all I could hear was my own heart pounding hard and fast against the sides of my head. For a long moment there was nothing else, only this feeling of weightless peace.

By the time I looked down at him again, he was on his knees undoing his own belt buckle. He tugged his trousers and underwear down, and I saw him spring free. I was still riding high on the wave of the climax as he moved toward me, kissing all the way up my abdomen and gently guided himself into me.
