His shout as he came was as loud as mine and we collapsed onto the bed, panting for breath as I tried to think, tried to breathe.

I felt like a puddle, my entire body was spent and yet alive at the same time.

Hamish kissed my shoulder softly as he slid out of me and slowly rolled me over to my back. I shifted my legs awkwardly so he could lay between them.

“You stole my heart; Princess and I don’t want it back. It was always meant to be yours.” He whispered before kissing me gently.

I wrapped my arms around him, trying to stop the tears that came to my eyes at his words.

“Hamish…” I started and he shook his head, silencing me with another kiss.

“You don’t have to say anything yet. Wait until you feel completely sure. I just want to lie here and enjoy your body against mine, then I am going to make love to you.” He said with a smile before he lifted me higher on the bed and climbed on next to me.

He lay down with a contented sigh, kissed my shoulder, and closed his eyes with his arms around me.

After a few moments, I felt his breathing shift and I realized he had fallen asleep. I rolled over to watch him and smiled when I saw the small smile on his own lips.

It was like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders. A weight that I would gladly carry for him if it meant seeing him smile in his sleep.

My phone vibrated with messages, and I grimaced. I knew what they were.

Unknown: Orca, are you ready? We are getting into position. Team Blackfish is on the move.

I glanced at Alexsei who was watching TV with me and falling asleep. Katerina was still locked up with Hamish in the bedroom and Leo had gone out for a run along the lake before the sun completely set.

I had time.

I quietly went to the laptop and sent a little prayer of thanks to whoever was watching over me that I was here for this.

Mikhail’s computer was untraceable and made this ten times easier.

I plugged in the headset, logging into the system I had hacked multiple times in preparation for this.

“Orca, where have you been man? We were worried you wouldn’t show.” I recognized the voice and smiled.

“Sorry man, I have been laying low. They almost caught me last time and I’ve had some other things come up in my life that took my attention.” I added and the man chuckled.

“A woman I bet. Only a woman would take your attention away from this. Luckily you had done so much groundwork already, I was able to find the last few details.” He said and I sighed.

“Yeah. Sorry about that, B. This means a lot to me, you know? This is my mother’s legacy.” I said and he hummed in agreement.

“I know. Let’s get this show on the road. The team is arriving. Do you have the feed? I’ll patch you into the cams now.” He said and I waited for the screen to light up with the team in the van.

I knew most of the people in the van, each one had a personal stake in this in some way or another.

“Who is the new guy?” I asked as I glanced over the feeds.

“Carrie pulled him in. Pretty sure they are dating.” He said with a snort.

“Let’s hope he is ready for this. We have ten minutes before a response team arrives. Is the truck ready?” I asked.

“Ri. You don’t trust me to take care of the logistics? I got it covered. You just stay in the security system to make sure they can get through.” He said.

“Sorry, Blake. I’m just a little jumpy you know. Okay. I’m cutting the power to the gates in three… two… one.” I hit the button and watched the team jump into action.
