“Anabel, my angel,” he groans and comes.
He holds himself above me, trying not to collapse on me as his body spasms and shakes. I feel him throbbing inside me as I spasm around him. My eyes close and I can't believe it was like that. I've never ever experienced that. No wonder Maya is always bragging about her and Duncan's sex life.
“I hope it's always like that.” I sigh.
He laughs. Oh crap! I said that aloud. I lift my eyes to his and he’s smiling at me with desire and more in his eyes.
“Me too, Angel, I've never blown my spunk like that. Did I hurt you? I kind of lost control in the end, you felt so good.” He rolls me off the pillow, not breaking our connection, and positions us on our sides so we’re facing each other.
“No, honey, it was wonderful.” He pulls out of me, stands, and walks to the bathroom, returning with a washcloth.
“Let me clean you up. Do you want to take a shower or a nap?” He chuckles as my eyelids start to droop.
“I think I'm finally ready for that nap.” He gently washes me and climbs back into the bed after throwing the washcloth in the hamper. He pulls the duvet over us, I know he has a meeting in a few but cuddling in his arms is all I want to do with him.
“Sleep, Angel.” He kisses my forehead, brushing my hair back.
As I'm drifting off, his cell phone pings on the nightstand and I worry I made him miss his meeting or that something else has come up. Those are my last thoughts as I drift off, finally, to sleep.
Joshua
I lie with her for a few minutes until my phone beeps with an incoming text. I roll over to get it off the nightstand.
Heading that way. We need to talk. Maya’s message is short and to the point.
Good or bad? I reply.
Try to keep Ana away for a few. Something's come up.
I roll out of bed, Ana doesn't stir, and I watch her for a bit. I love this woman. I've never experienced anything like our lovemaking, and I've never come so hard or felt turned inside out like I do. I'll never let this woman go again. I was serious with her earlier, she'll only have me and I’ll only have her. Our lovemaking was so much more and nothing I’ve ever experienced to this extreme. I almost told her I loved her as I looked into her eyes afterward.
I walk to the bathroom and take a quick shower. I'm dressing and watching her sleep, she's my world. I really hope whatever Maya has to say won't cause more stress for my girls.
The front door opens to the team and Greg as I head downstairs. Interesting, why's he here? We head into the dining room, with its large table we'll be able to work easier. First things first, I'm going to have to set up a meeting space for us.
“Greg, nice to see you. When did you get in?” I shake his hand as he looks at Maya and nods at her.
“I just got in. I had some things to discuss with my kids,” he says as his eyes flash with something.
Now I know this isn't going to be good. I've seen that look from him several times over the last few months. He's worried about Maya. The last time I saw that look he attacked Duncan for not telling him they had been involved in a shooting the night before. Greg has a love for Maya that is more than just friendship, he considers her his daughter. I’ve known Greg for years, and he’s mentioned children, but never in my dreams when I met Maya did I think she was one he was speaking about. From what I do know about Greg, when he cares for someone, he loves them with his complete soul.
“Okay, Maya, what's up?” I ask after we're all seated. I'd do anything for this team, but the woman sleeping upstairs is my life. I worry about blending the two but know that of any woman, Ana would be able to handle what I do.
Chapter Sixteen
Joshua
“Joshua, Greg brought a message from my London solicitor. There is a potential for a major breach here. Mr. Flemish was trying to reach me because an attorney in the States is trying to get a hold of me.” She groans, and I know she's upset.
“How?” Timothy asks Greg.
“How did he find me or how did he contact me?” Greg asks.
“Both,” I say.
A security breach such as this can expose us all. I need to get control and find the leak.
“He contacted me via email. I'm able to keep this little operation running because I'm listed as her power of attorney, along with Ana.”
