“Addy, that’s so good. You’re so good. Let go, babe,” he said roughly. “I’ll be right there with you.”

He pounded into me, his rhythm erratic as he let passion have control.

“Yes, Barry.” My eyes fluttering closed, I surrendered to the heat, his primal passion, and yes, love. So much love.

“Oh, Addy. Fuck.”

Throwing his head back, he went impossibly deep, deeper than anyone had been. He stiffened and groaned. His climax propelled me over the edge.

I flew beyond all I knew, but I didn’t fall. I would never fall if he had me.

Addy

Perched on the butcher block island in Barry’s commercial kitchen, I watched him cooking for me. There was something so seductive about it. He was sexy wearing only his jeans, riding low on his narrow hips.

But it was more than how he looked. It was who he was and how he attended to my needs. Physical and otherwise, he was so special. I saw this moment in time with him as a gift. In my mind, I wrapped it in a big red bow.

“Try this.” Cupping his hand under the fork, he brought a bite of grilled pork to my mouth.

I took it, moaning as I chewed. It was succulent and perfectly seasoned.

His eyes flared as he growled out, “Don’t do that.”

“Do what?” I asked, covering my mouth as I continued chewing.

He kissed me hard after I swallowed.

“What did I do?” My lips slowly curled.

“You moan like that when I’m fucking you,” he said low, looking at me as if he were contemplating doing so again.

“Oh.” My lips parted. “Well, you can do it again if you want to.”

I certainly wouldn’t object. It would be round three.

Round two had happened in the shower, cleaning up after round one. With Barry all wet and soapy in the shower and hot water, I’d taken my time gliding my hands over every glorious inch of him. He’d liked it so much, he turned me around, grabbed a condom he’d had the foresight to bring into the shower, and slid his cock into me. We’d used all the hot water cleaning up again afterward.

“Can’t.” Tossing the fork I’d taken a bite from into the sink, he turned back to the stove.

“Why not?” I asked. It was still early. “We have time.”

“We don’t, not if you still intend to leave at the time you said you needed to.” He used a wire-mesh spatula to scoop another crispy egg roll out of the fryer. Putting it on a plate, he turned and placed it on the island beside me. “Eat. I want you fed. Then I need to show you something.”

“What?” My eyes brightened.

I’d never had surprises with Collin. Well, not the good kind. Martin had surprised me all the time, nearly always in a bad way.

But with Barry, I was eager. I liked everything he did. I liked everything about him. He was light, brightening all my dark spaces.

“In due time. You fed. Then the surprise.” The stars in his brown eyes twinkled.

“Okay.” I picked up the egg roll but dropped it with a wince. “Ouch. Hot.”

He took my hand, examining my fingers. “Looks okay.” He blew on my skin and peered at me through his spiky lashes. “Do you need some ice?”

“Yes, I need it to cool me down after you do stuff like that,” I teased, smiling.

“Fuck me.” He shook his head, and the club of hair that he’d pulled back and folded over at his nape swayed. “I haven’t seen that smile of yours in a while. Up close, your smile is breathtaking. You are.”
