“He didn’t drink the blood, only ripped the throat out. I think they only” — she giggled — “bite during sex.”
“I don’t think I want to know,” I replied. I covered my ears as I turned around.
“You say that, but I’ve heard they have a fucking hook. Or was it barbs? I don’t remember what Orequin said.”
I rolled my eyes. “Ricon has aknot. And two peens. Did you expect anything less from me?”
Andy rolled her eyes. “No. Of course not.”
“What happens now?”
“I guess I need to find someone else to take care of the house. I’m guessing you’ll want to stay with your mate.”
I placed my hand on my chin. “I don’t know. Maybe he needs to do more groveling for forgiveness for leaving me.”
“I can see if Chex can punish him further,” Andy announced.
I laughed. “I guess for being an alien, you need to work on your communication skills.”
“Shut up, Chloe. By the way, you should meet Orequin’s new boyfriend. He’s nice, and she’s getting him schooling to be a therapist. Better than Earth cause it’s . . . galactic?”
“Oh joy.”
“Don’t be that way. You’ve been telling me to get therapy for years.”
“What’s it like to be in space?”
“It’s fine. The classes on how to be empress suck. It’s a lot. And it’s been hurting me not to tell you everything. I’m sorry.” She pulled me tight for another hug.God, I had missed my best friend.
“I’m sorry for lying to you, too. Ricon said it was for the best. To make sure whoever he was running from weren’t after him and wouldn’t trace his message.”
“I guess. Probably no good choices here.”
“Yeah.”
“So you finally have an alien boyfriend. Your forever.”
I smirked as I walked to the doorway. Ricon’s head turned towards me and he smiled. My heart skipped a beat as I grinned. “Yeah, it looks like I have.”
Ricon stood up and crossed the room. “Do you need me to grovel some more?”
My skin lit up with arousal. There was a groan on the other side of the room. “Fuck, Ricon. Get out and take your mate with you!”
Ricon chuckled as he picked me up. “Be right back, fellas.”
Ricon palmed my ass as he took me to my room. Later, I had to pack for space, but for now I was going to ride some horns. I finally did it. Maybe I had my forever after all.
