Bee grumbles, glaring at her laptop like the words are personally attacking her. I kiss my way from her shoulder, feeling fucking powerful at the way she sighs and tips her head back, arching into my touch.

“I love you,” she says, and I will never get tired of hearing it.

“I adore you,” I say, gently moving her laptop to the floor and pulling her into my lap. “I spent six years dreaming of buying this house. Do you know what I dream of now? You.”

She kisses me sweetly. “That makes two of us.”

EPILOGUE

BEE

FIVE YEARS LATER

The step stool complains as I rise up on my tiptoes. Great. Now even the furniture has opinions about me. Well, there are still four whole (hopefully less vomit-filled) months until the twins arrive, so this piece of pine can kindly shut up.

It wouldn’t be an issue if Sebastian hadn’t moved my degreaser (among other things) to the highest cabinet in the house. Taking a breath, I stretch as far as I can. With our “seedlings” currently using my ribs as a footrest, it’s sometimes a struggle to get enough air. Reaching, I brush over the handle, but every effort to grab the bottle only pushes it farther out of reach.

“Dammit.”

“What do you think you’re doing?”

I turn to find Sebastian eyeing me with distinct amusement. He’s freshly showered and buttoned up in darktrousers and a pale blue shirt. He looks so good I want to lock the doors and never let him leave.

“What does it look like?”

Lowering back to my heels, I pout. Sebastian’s smile widens.

But I’m not backing down. He might be a foot taller, but there are three of me now, and only one of him.

“It looks like you’re trying to give me a heart attack.” With two steps, he’s beside me, sweeping me into his arms like a damsel and carrying me to the couch.

Lying down makes me feel a thousand times better.

On the television, the narrator follows the head of a lion pride as he chases off a hyena.

“Don’t listen to them. The moms are the real ones in charge.” After placing a kiss on my belly, he takes the remote and turns the sound low. “Ever noticed how many of these frame nature as male dominated? Darwin must have been a real dick.”

“The patriarchy at work,” I reply, attempting to stretch my toes and frowning when my swollen feet barely move. Pregnancy is a riot. “I don’t feel very in charge right now.”

My legs are cramped. My fingers tingle. I’m burning so hot I’m almost convinced I’ll birth two nuclear reactors instead of children, and if I stand for too long, I get lightheaded. Which is all far, far easier to handle than how ridiculously horny I am.

Seriously.

I was expecting the nausea and the body aches and the wildly fluctuating hormones.

No one warned me I’d basically go into heat.

Unsurprisingly, Sebastian’s been incredible through itall, and I’m not even referring to how much overtime his mouth, hands, and dick are putting in. Although it’s a lot.

What can I say? He’s got a great work ethic.

“You feel pretty fucking good to me,” Sebastian says, draping my legs over his lap. “Bee? Why are you only wearing one sock?”

I narrow my eyes. “Because the matching one is stuck at the bottom of the washing machine and I can’t reach anything anymore.”

Gratefully, he doesn’t try to argue with me, but I can tell from the way he’s holding his smile that he’s trying not to laugh. Instead, he slips the remaining sock off my foot and begins to gently massage my feet. I don’t even try to hide my grateful moans. This man is a fucking gem.

Five years, and his touch still excites me. Every look elicits a thrill. Each smile sets off a chain reaction in my heart until it’s impossible to contain my happiness.
