I suck in a deep breath through my nose, ready to hit the hay as soon as I get back to the clubhouse.

Razor

I lean against the worn oak bar, slowly sipping a glass of whiskey.

Out of all the clubhouses I’ve been to in the last year, the Satan’s Raiders is the most busy.

People are constantly moving around, going in and out.

They all must have different schedules, but it makes a lot of sense. Not everyone can be in the club at the same time.

Boots thud against the wooden floors and most of the women are wearing sneakers.

The only one who isn’t is Fury’s woman, Chloe, who’s a teacher by day.

The walls are lined with photographs. Some were taken from when Ice, Breaker’s father, originally started the club.

Their family has their roots deep in the MC life. Ice started the Satan’s Raiders MC, while his brother, Zeus, is the president of the Sons of Gods MC.

Both clubs are allies, but we only have a regent with the Satan’s Raiders MC for now.

I’m sure there will be a time when one of our men goes to Birmingham to be with the Sons of Gods, but there’s too much crazy shit going on.

My gaze drifts to the corner where Hammer sits, chatting with Oakleigh.

She laughs at something her father says, tipping her neck back slightly.

I pay close attention to her braids, seeing them in the light for the first time. They suit her well.

She’s so much different from the women who typically frequent a club.

Oakleigh has an edge to her, and I like it.

She’s got this toughness about her, and while I don’t know where it came from, something must have happened.

The first time I met her, there was an innocence about her, but I can tell it’s long gone.

Life has hardened her, and I’m sure at some point, I’ll find out how it happened.

“How’s it going, man?” I turn to see Ops, a longtime member of the Satan’s Raiders MC, approach me.

His arm was wrapped around his woman’s waist, a pleased smile on his face.

I raise my drink. “Can’t complain one bit.”

I glance over at Oakleigh for a split second before looking back at Ops.

Ops follows my gaze and chuckles. “She’s a really good kid, isn’t she?”

I nod. “Yeah, seems like it. Don’t know her well enough. Only met her once back in Montana a couple of years back.”

Ops pulls his girl tighter against him. “She’s got a good head on her shoulders, that’s for damn sure.”

His woman licks her lips nervously and extends a hand. “I’m Mabel. It’s nice to meet you.”

I shake her hand. “Razor, and likewise.”
