I nodded. “Fair. I do like it, I was just curious.”

“As the pack’s newest member, I’m glad you like it. And I hope you like these too.” Rowan put a box on my lap. “These are thespecialones.”

I grinned up at him and flipped open the lid, eyeing the little chocolate seashells. “Oooh, they’re pretty. And how long do these take to kick in?”

“You won’t feel a thing for at least two hours.”

“Perfect.” I popped one in my mouth that looked like a nautilus shell before giving him the box back. If I kept it, I would want more of his delicious chocolate. But if I ate more of these I would be so high I wouldn’t know up from down. One was enough.

The door behind us shut loudly. “Baby girl, have I got something for you.”

I tipped my face up to Hawk’s as he appeared at my side. “Oh?”

Not saying a word, he handed me his phone, the screen already open to?—

My whole body froze. It was me. In that first photo Janet had shown me. Back arched, eyes heated because I was watching Hawk watchme. It had been edited, the colors tweaked, an added softness overlaying the picture.

I scrolled through them, unable to believe I was the woman in the pictures. Because she washot. When I got to the pictures of me and Hawk, perfume exploded outward around me. Hissmile while I curled around him on the end of the bed. The way he looked at the camera with such fucking sureness. Him knowing and being sure about me was written in every single frame.

The photos of us—tastefully—naked nearly put me on the floor. Hawk had an incredible ass, and I looked so taken with him…

And he’d told me even though I didn’t understand it yet. About Alphas wanting to practice giving me orgasms. About taking pictures with everyone together. Exactly what he’d told me. No lies, and he’d already decided.

Hawk kissed below my ear. “You’re fucking beautiful, you know that?”

“It barely looks like me. They’re incredible.”

“They look exactly like you. I’m gonna have some printed for the house.”

My jaw dropped. “We can’t hang those.”

“We absolutely can. And when we do the next photoshoot with everyone, we’ll make sure you have at least one picture with everyone.”

Rowan raised an eyebrow, gaze bouncing between us. “Do we get to see?”

“I already sent the link to the gallery to the group chat. The new one.”

I frowned. “New one?”

One side of his mouth pulled up into a grin. He pulled my phone out of his back pocket—must have found it wherever I left it—and handed it to me. “The new one with you in it, baby girl.”

“Oh.” I took the phone from him slowly. The little things were the ones that made this real. A group chat. For our pack.

The rest of the guys already had their phones out, looking at the photos wide eyed and with more than one obvious erection. But Hawk knelt in front of me and made me set my phone down before he took my hands.

His expression gave me butterflies, but I also couldn’t tell what he would do, so I cleared my throat. “Is this the part where you tell me you’re about to throw me over the cliff to my death?”

“No.” He laughed. “Not off a cliff, and definitely not to your death. But I’m going to say something and it might freak you out.”

“Then don’t say it.”

Hawk squeezed my hands. “I have to. Because I’ve been wanting to say it for days, and it’s going to kill me if I don’t.”

My stomach twisted with nerves. “Okay.”

He leaned forward and tugged me closer, voice quiet so it was just for us. “I love you. Am in love with you. You already know we want you, and I hope that it goes without saying that we love you. Cade already told you as much. But I need you to hear me say it. More than one of us has been waiting.”

Mind starting to spin, he didn’t let me think.
