He shook his head. “We’re good. I’m taking my love home.”

Sebastian strode from the room and we met Leslie and Anders coming in through the doors.

“What’s going on?” Anders stopped him.

“Doctor already saw him. They’re fine, so I want to take them home.”

Leslie’s eyes filled with tears. “We’re going to be grandpas.”

“What?” Anders looked at all our faces. “Really?”

“Really.” I sighed. “Why didn’t you even question…”

“Nolan.” Sebastian looked into my eyes. “You told me the last time he took advantage of you. And you went into a heat cycle when we met.”

“Home.”

And me?

What is poking me?

Well, the new pack leader, Ezra Mack, told his delta and beta to take me out back and teach me a lesson before dumping me off to fend for myself.

Why the fuck do I smell pepper?

Water laps at my left side, and I feel my body shivering from the brief contact with cold water. Each shiver hurts worse than the one before.

Drowning’s not a bad way to go.

I felt something grab my ankle.

Oh. Good. Death’s here.

To be continued…
