“What’s on your mind?” I wrapped the towel around my waist, watching her as she dried and combed her hair.

“I’d feel better if your dad had the boys.” She twisted her lips in the mirror, looking back at me. “Dillon didn’t want to go with her at first.”

“Did he say why?”

“No.” She shrugged. “After he and Charlie had a private talk, they decided to go with her.”

“Do you want to get them before dinner?” I walked over and wrapped my arms around her.

“Can you call and check on them?” She turned in my arms and nipped my nipple.

“Baby, if you keep that up, we’ll be lucky to make it out of the bedroom.” I teased her.

Miranda pulled back and walked naked into our bedroom. “Then I guess we should get dressed.”

I threw my head back in a groan. “Adulting sucks.”

“Tell me about it.” She called back from our closet.

Laughing, I joined her in the bedroom and texted my mom.

Miranda leaned over and looked at my phone. “Do you have your mother listed in your phone aswitch?”

“Yup.” I nodded and tossed my phone down. “I need to get dressed and get my rope on.”

“I saw you had a new one. And you got the boys one.”

“We like to look good for our girl.” I winked and pulled out a clean pair of boxers. “Hey, doll?”

“Yes, Henry?”

“You, uh, thought about having more kids?” I disappeared into the closet and came out buttoning a shirt.

She sat on the edge of the bed and smiled. “I have.”

“And?” I reached for my pants.

“I could be down.” She shrugged. “Besides, we have a lot of room.” Miranda stood up and smoothed her dress down. “How do I look?”
