“Let’s see if I can return the pleasure.” He lifted up and slowly traced his fingers across her breast.

Merry scowled when she realized he was using chocolate—her chocolate—to paint her nipples. She’d never be able to eat the chocolate from this angle!

She lifted her hands, intending to try and rescue some of that precious chocolate for herself when her eyes rolled back in her head.

Sam’s mouth was clamped around her right breast, his tongue swirling, mouth sucking, teeth nipping and pulling.

Her mind shut down as sensation took over everything.

She managed to get her left hand to her left breast, but then Sam’s hand was there, brushing hers aside as he rolled and manipulated her nipple, making it bud so tight, she could barely breathe.

He then switched sides, mouth clamped to her left breast, fingers working the right.

“Sam,” she groaned, sliding her fingers through his hair and trying to pull his head back.

He resisted all efforts, though, just continued to work her breasts until she was writhing and panting with need.

“Sam!”

He lifted just enough to settled exactly where she needed him to go.

She hooked her legs around his hips and yanked him forward.

They both groaned as he plunged deep. The friction as he filled every available space sent shudders through Merry’s frame.

Long moments later, they hung on a precipice, neither daring to move, knowing one small movement would send them both plunging over the edge.

Eventually, the need to move became too great and Sam slowly pulled back, then surged forward again. He pulled back once more, changed his angle slightly and slid deep once more, this time rubbing something inside that made Merry cry out in ecstasy.

As if that was the signal he’d been waiting for, he picked up the pace, moving forward and back, every slide and move rubbing that perfect spot, so that everything coiled tighter and tighter, and then, with one final plunge, everything exploded and the world disappeared in a flash of heat and light.

“Told you it would work,” Soraya crowed as Merry dragged the wolf from the bar.

“It really was the spoon,” Muezza marveled.

“Weird,” Bygul said.

“Let’s just hope the wolf doesn’t touch her chocolate,” Tivali said.

Bygul flattened his ears. “Why would you even mention that?”

“You know that words have power, Tivali,” Soraya said.

“Oh, please. Surely the wolf is smarter than that.”

“You ate my pudding,” Merry said grumpily as she stared into the empty bowl.

Sam chuckled. “It seemed the right thing to do at the time.”

“I was saving that last bit for later.” She pouted at him.

“There’s a whole box of chocolates over there.” He waved a lazy arm toward the floor.

“But none of that is pudding.”

“I’ll ask Phoenix to make you another batch, how’s that sound?”

She set aside the bowl and pounced on him. “Yes!” She peppered his face with kisses. “That would be great. How soon do you think she could make us a batch?”
