Caleb’s eye twitched, but he bent, kissed the back of my hand, and held it out for Riddick to take. “I won’t be far,” he promised.

I nodded and Riddick stepped into his place, immediately pulling me into the dance. “You look ravishing, Ember.”

“Thank you. You look handsome in your suit.” And he did.

“It’s not the most comfortable, but I’m glad you like it.” We spun around the dance floor effortlessly.

“You’ve been trained by Jolie, haven’t you?” I guessed.

“Caleb and I actually learned together,” he admitted.

I laughed. “I would love to have seen that.”

“There was a lot of growling and a few fights.” He shrugged a shoulder. “We were ten, so it was expected.”

“It must have been nice having a friend like him,” I said.

He nodded. “It was, but you know what I’m most excited about as his friend?”

I shook my head. “What?”

He leaned closer, and whispered in my ear, “Sharing you tonight.”

My steps faltered, but he easily compensated, making it look like I was purposefully stepping away to be spun.

There was zero doubt that my face was aflame with lust and embarrassment. These men were being naughty in a situation they shouldn’t be, but perhaps that was to keep me from getting upset.

“My turn,” Triston said as he took my hand and spun me around, away from Riddick.

“Triston,” I gasped as we danced. “You look great.” His hair was pulled back into a ponytail and the suit he wore hugged his shoulders.

“Thank you. You look absolutely stunning, Ember.”

“Thank you.”

“Are you having fun?” he asked.

“I am, actually. Ballroom dancing is not something I ever imagined I would love doing so much.”

“Good. I’m glad you’re having fun. But you know what I’m looking forward to?”

“What?” I asked.

“Watching as the others make you scream tonight and seeing that face flush for a completely different reason.”

I smacked his chest playfully. “What has gotten into you all? Are you trying to make me combust in the middle of the dance floor?” Fanning my face, we stopped dancing and he steered me towards Branson.

“Your turn, bro.” He kissed my cheek and stepped back into the crowd.

Branson bowed to me before steering me into a dance. “I’m glad this is a slower dance,” he grumbled. “I’m not as good of a dancer as the others.”

I smiled up at him and said, “I’m just happy to dance with you at all.”

“You look extraordinary,” he said as his eyes dipped to my chest and back up.

Chuckling, I asked, “A lot different than the country bumpkin you first met, huh?”

He smiled softly. “I like you in overalls, too, but this is definitely a good look.”
