His brothers were awesome and accepted Michael was a little although he still kept that part of himself at the club or with Daddy Finn.

“You’re thinking about it, aren’t you?” James teased. “Living with your Daddy and getting out of this shit hole.”

Michael hadn’t been but he didn’t correct James. “There’s still a lot to talk about and plan for.”

“Is that a yes?” Scott leaned forward, his face filled with hope.

“It’s not like I can tell you no,” Michael pointed out. “You’re both adults.”

“But if you said you didn’t want us to go, we wouldn’t,” Scott said. “We owe you so much.”

“No.” Michael cut him off. “You don’t owe me anything.” Sometimes Michael wondered if his brothers would have been better off if he hadn’t demanded they stay with him. The police and social workers had made things as difficult as they could, trying to block Michael from keeping two teenage boys, but Michael had been determined to keep them all together. He didn’t regret what he had to give up, but he hoped he had done right for his brothers.

“Okay, maybe we don’t owe you, but we respect your opinion,” Scott said.

“I don’t want to hold you back. If this is what you really want, then we’ll work it out.” Somehow.

Scott squealed before he jumped up and raced around the table to throw himself at Michael. Michael hugged his brother tight then felt arms around his neck as James joined them.

“This is going to be a good thing,” James said quietly. “For all of us.”

“I hope so.” Michael was torn. He didn’t want his brothers so far from him, but he was pretty happy with his life. He had a great job, two boyfriends, and real friends.

“Let me show you the campus.” Scott ran off to his bedroom, probably grabbing his laptop.

“I’ll be with him,” James said softly. “I’ll keep him out of trouble.”

Michael laughed. “Who’s going to keep you out of trouble?”

Backing up, James grinned. “Maybe I’ll find myself a Daddy while I’m on the west coast.”

Michael would love to see that.

His phone chirped and he dug in his pocket to pull it out. He had to read the message from Finn three times.

“What’s up?” James finally asked.

Michael lifted his gaze to his brother. “Finn wants to go away for a week. He has everything planned and sent me the address.”

“Oh! A romantic vacation! You should totally go.”

Michael didn’t know if it would be romantic as much as it would be a place to finally talk to Jackson. That was Finn’s plan anyway. For the three of them to have some alone time and talk things out.

He still had to push away the hurt from earlier. No, this would be a good thing. He needed to let Jackson know that it wasn’t okay to disappear when Michael was sleeping. Not after what happened with his parents. This was the perfect time for Michael to share about his past and set boundaries with Jackson.

“You’re going, aren’t you?” James poked his arm.

“Going where?” Scott questioned as he returned with his laptop.

“Lover boy here is going on a romantic getaway with his boss.”

“Stop calling him that,” Michael ordered. Yes, Finn was his boss and that was something that Michael had to fight against since Finn didn’t want to take advantage of him. It didn’t matter how many times Michael assured Finn he wanted to be taken advantage of. It hadn’t been until Jackson had arrived that Michael finally had the courage to approach Finn and lay everything out for the Dom.

Speaking of Jackson, Michael was going to eventually have to tell his brothers about the other man in his life. Not yet though. Jackson needed to stop running from them and commit to giving the relationship a try.

Jackson had told Michael to be clear and demanding when dealing with Finn, and Michael was going to use that advice against Jackson.

His phone chirped again, and Michael felt the blood drain from his face.
