“Then we’ll go,” Jackson said.

Michael nodded. He wanted to go too.

“You two can stay here. I don’t want to ruin the last—”

“You go, we go,” Jackson said.

“Yeah!” Michael added. Probably not helpful, but he wouldn’t be left behind.

“If we need to come back later and clean up or do anything, you can let us know. But we’re going with you. You’re just wasting time by arguing,” Jackson said.

It was one of the few times that Michael had seen Jackson so intense.

“Alright, but we need to hurry. Grab your stuff. I’ll come back and clean up before we call for the cleaning service.” Finn began to strip out of his night clothes.

Michael climbed off the bed as well. “It won’t take me long.” He started to undress as well.

“Uh, guys! A little help!” Jackson shook the chain that held him to the bed frame. “Or I can try getting out of the cuffs again, but it will slow us down.”

Michael giggled as Finn sent Jackson a sheepish look.

“Sorry.” Finn kissed Jackson before he released him. “I just can’t figure out how anyone got past my system. You know how good my security is.”

“Which is why you’re not going alone. Where’d you put my stuff?”

Michael started to point toward the dresser where Jackson’s saddlebags were lying.

“Guest bedroom closest,” Finn said. “Code is five one one two.”

“Cool.” Jackson climbed out of bed and didn’t even stop for his things before he left the room.

Probably something that Michael didn’t want to know about. Except now that he’d spent the week with his men, Michael didn’t think that he’d be able to keep pretending that whatever Jackson did wasn’t dangerous.

Michael rushed to the bathroom to pee, brush his teeth, and pack his toiletry bag. By the time he returned to the bedroom, both Finn and Jackson were dressed. They didn’t really speak as they gathered the bags they’d brought. He did take the extra time to make sure that all his little stuff was in his chest and locked up. Michael shouldered his bag before lifting the chest.

“I got it, little bit,” Finn said.

Hearing the nickname helped ease some of Michael’s anxiety. He didn’t blame Daddy Finn for being upset and quiet. Michael just wasn’t a fan of not knowing what was going on.

They exited the cabin and Finn stopped. “I don’t want either of you driving in the dark.”

“I can borrow one of Skinner’s rides and bring Michael back for his car later,” Jackson offered.

“You can borrow my truck,” Finn said. “If I can’t bring him myself.”

“Hello!” Michael waved his hand. He was not helpless. “I can just have one of my brothers bring me.”

Both Finn and Jackson frowned at him.

He sort of expected Jackson’s reaction but Finn’s surprised him. Daddy Finn knew that Michael could take care of himself.

“Or one of you can bring me back,” Michael offered.

“Good,” Finn grunted before stomping forward.

Jackson grabbed Michael’s hand. “Just keep close until we find out what’s going on at the club. I don’t like this. No one should be able to break in. Especially not into the office. Finn’s worried so he’s not thinking straight.”

It helped that Jackson took the time to explain. Michael hadn’t really thought of the implications that someone had breached an unbreachable security system. “I’ll be careful and will stay with one of you,” he vowed.
