Long enough to know I was absolutely gone for this perfect little omega, and I’d never let her go.

It took another twenty hours for my heat to finally break for good. Luckily it seemed like I was on the shorter end of how long the doctor had said this might last.

I was the first one awake, taking everything in from my spot in the bed between Kellan and Crew. Crew was wrapped around my back like an octopus, a huge thigh wedged between mine, and I vaguely remembered falling asleep—again—with his knot inside me.

Kellan faced me, his beard looking a little worse for wear and his hair in a tangled bun. One of his hands rested possessively on my hip.

Rhett and Jude were on Kellan’s other side, cuddled around each other. Rhett had been carefully fucking Jude into the mattress when I’d passed out.

Glancing around at the mess of my nest, my nose wrinkled.

I needed a shower. While I loved the smells of the guys on and around me, I’d basically been bathing in bodily fluids for two days.

Heaven help me when I had a full, regular heat. The nest was trashed after a little over a day in heat. If I went through the normal five-to-seven day heats most omegas had?

Yeah. We might have to burn the house down and start over.

While having the scents of my pack around me had been everything my omega brain was demanding, my own scent reeked. The sickly sweet stench was overwhelming in its potency, and was like tiny razors being dragged across my skin, prickling my subconscious into needing to correct the problem.

The hand Crew was resting on my belly slid up, cupping my breast in an intimately possessive way. His nose bumped my shoulder a second before his lips feathered a kiss over the same spot.

My heart melted, and I didn’t even think before I was snuggling back into his hold.

Crew sniffed. “Your heat broke.”

“Yeah,” I whispered back, my throat suddenly dry. Would he pull away now that I wasn’t in heat? Was all that stuff he’d said about me being their omega and fate and scent matches?—

“You’re thinking too loud,” Crew muttered, tweaking a nipple in reproach.

I gasped. “I just… I mean, you guys don’t have to stay.”

He let out a rumble before turning me onto my back and propping himself up on one arm. Those deep blue orbs searched my face. “Are you having second thoughts?”

I opened my mouth but couldn’t find the right words. Was I having second thoughts? Not exactly. But I also wanted to prepare my heart for an ass-kicking if that’s what was heading my way.

His brow furrowed. “You’re overthinking things, little omega.”

I scowled at him. “Self-preservation isn’t overthinking, big alpha.”

His lips tipped up. “I forgot how feisty you can be.”

Donovan had called me feisty once or twice. It was usually followed by something painful or humiliating to put me in my place.

“Hey.” Crew’s hand cradled my jaw. “Where the hell did you just go, Hazel?”

I couldn’t meet his gaze. “I think I need a shower.”

“Haze—”

“Can you move, please?” I asked softly.

Crew sighed and leaned forward to kiss my forehead before slipping out of the bed and standing back to let me up.

Kellan grumbled as his arm flopped onto the mattress, but I simply picked up a large purple and pink blanket and wrapped it around myself, suddenly feeling the urge to shield myself from view. It was kinda pointless considering they knew my body better than I did after the last two days, but I needed another layer separating me from them.
