“I love it.” He takes off his sunglasses, and his dark orbs stare directly at my ample cleavage.

“I can see that,” I tell him.

“You must love torturing me” is all he gets to say on the matter, as Brent and Aiden join us.

Neither one pays attention to the way I’m dressed or says a word about my suit or Emma’s, which is a pale purple two-piece that’s much cheekier than mine.

“You all wanna get in the water?” Aiden asks.

The boys must want to because they start toward the water. Derek turns before leaving us and asks, “Are you coming with us?”

Emma sits up on her elbows. “Oh, were you talking to us too?”

She pushes her chest out, attempting to give Aiden a show, but unfortunately for her, I don’t think he’s paying attention to her.

“I meant anyone who wanted to come to the water,” Aiden replies loudly.

“Come on,” Derek says, motioning for us to follow.

They turn on their heels and head for the water, all three of them in black trunks with baseball caps drawn over their eyes in an attempt to hide their faces. The beach is a little more crowded today, so there’s more of a chance they would be recognized than when it was just Derek and me. Especially with all three of them being here.

Emma gets up and runs down after them without warning, beating them to the surf and splashing around. Most of her ass is on display, and I wonder if she did that so that Aiden would notice her. He’s watching her, that much I can tell. She’s saying something, but I’m not sure if he’s noticing her the way she hopes. I sit there for a moment, watching them and wondering what I would think if she ever had a shot with him. It’s easy to say I would be fine with it considering what I’m doing with Derek, but I wonder how I would actually feel about it.

Aiden is definitely more of a player than the rest of the guys. He’s my brother, so I don’t have an opinion on his looks, just on Derek’s and Brent’s. If you ask me, Derek is more attractive than Brent. Not that Brent is a slouch in the looks department. But Emma says that out of the three of them, Aiden is the hotter one. She told me this even before her crush had fully developed on my brother. There have also been magazine articles and polls done on the boys on Instagram. Aiden typically comes out on top. However, I’d bet if one was done now, Derek would come out on top because of his relationship with Serena.

“Audrey, get out here!” Aiden is calling to me.

It makes me smile. It reminds me of my first beach day with Derek. It feels like it’s been ages, when really it’s only been a few days—not even a week—since all of this started. It happened so fast, and I fear that it’ll end just as quickly.

I get back to following them out into the water. I don’t miss the way Derek’s eyes follow me the entire time. He’s watching me and biting his lip. What I would give to have his mouth on me right now, or at least hear what he’s thinking. I dive deep into the water and pop up a few feet from them. Derek hisses out a breath, and it makes me smile. Clearly, me coming out of the water soaking wet with my breasts on full display is affecting him.

Emma snickers, and I give my head a slight shake, hoping she takes the hint.

I look over and see Brent watching me. Not in a creepy way or like he’s enjoying the view, but more like he’s trying to figure out what my game is. He’s perceptive, that one. I’m going to have to remember that.

“What time do we have to leave tonight?” he asks.

Aiden, who was splashing around in the water, turns serious and comes closer to the group. “I figure we have about an hour here and then we should be on the road around three. That’ll get us there around five. She doesn’t go on until eight. Plenty of time for sound checks and all that.”

“Fuck, we don’t have much time in the water then, do we?” Brent says.

He looks a little relieved by that. I think it’s the way Derek is staring at me and I’m looking at him that is giving him pause.

“Well, we could show up at six. That would still give us enough time to do all that stuff. Plus, I told her she probably wouldn’t see us before six. That also keeps us out of her meet and greet bullshit.”

“You don’t think we should do that?” Aiden asks. Aiden is always up for meeting and interacting with his fans, and Derek may have bailed because he would have to spend more time in front of Serena and the fans, pretending.

“We don’t have our security team, Ace. I don’t want to be out there unprotected. Especially since some fans get a little extra charged when we’re with Serena. Her team will be worried about her and shouldn’t have to worry with us too.”

Aiden nods, considering all of this. “Okay.” He’s quiet for a moment and then asks, “How have things been going here? Have you been recognized?”

“Once or twice, but nothing I haven’t been able to handle. Audrey and I went to hear Legend, and the doorman recognized me but promised me he’d be cool about it.”

I freeze for a second, not sure how Aiden will feel about that. But of course, I worry for nothing.

“That’s cool. What did you think of the band?” he asks Derek.

“They looked good. I liked them. I didn’t stick around to talk to them, because I wanted to talk to y’all before we offer anything. But if we can, I think we should tell Dale to talk to their manager. See what they’d be down for.”
