“Ah, fuck.” Jesse dropped his head.

“Yeah.”

I glanced back at the plane and saw my brother look in my direction. He must have heard the limos pull up. I waved to show him it was okay.

“That’s not who I think it is,” Jesse moaned.

“It is.”

“Fuck me, there isn’t enough whiskey on this flight, Grim,” he muttered as we saw a hand appear. I watched the light flicker off the multi-bracelets on the wrist above that hand as it reached out to take the driver’s.

“Hello, darling,” Jenelle Borrows purred as her hungry gaze slid down my body and back up again. “I’m so glad Daddy called you and you had space for me on your flight. I hope it wasn’t too much trouble.”

Jesse slowly shook his head; I knew he was no fan of Jenelle’s. My brothers and Jesse only tolerated her because they knew I had to.

“Not at all.” I allowed my eyes a quick look at her long legs and thought about how I wouldn’t mind going a few rounds with her even if she liked to keep it pretty tame.

She took my left hand and rubbed her thumb over my ring finger. I shot her a look. She could hitch a ride, but I wasn’t going to put up with her usual bullshit on her imagined future with me.

“A hundred she’s picked out the wedding invites already,” Jesse muttered behind me.

“When Daddy said you were flying out of John Wayne airport, I moved my girls’ weekend down here so I wouldn’t miss you.” Jenelle’s father, Bruce, was a powerful man in the business world and one who was important to know. He did business with our family, and it brought a lot of clients to our hotel. Indulge had benefited just recently when he brought a high roller into our casino who dropped a magnitude of money in just twenty-four hours.

I knew he was great for our business, but it came at a personal cost. I knew he wanted to see me marry his baby girl. He wasn’t the only businessman we had to tolerate who had ulterior motives when it came to their daughters. A future that included one of the Gates brothers brought dollar signs to their eyes. So, when I got an unexpected call from him, that she needed a lift, I didn’t doubt he already knew I was on my way home and had checked out my flight plan.

She pressed a hand to her cleavage and looked up at me from behind her long lashes. “What can we possibly do in that huge plane all to ourselves?” She smiled wide and fanned herself as she headed toward the plane.

Jenelle, at five foot ten, worked as a model. Her straight blonde hair fell to her shoulders, and her body was rail thin without a single imperfection. Her high cheekbones and full lips looked sexy as hell in her photos but less so in person. I wish she hadn’t had them filled. They’d looked better natural, but I knew the pressure the industry put on them to look a certain way.

I’d made the mistake of dating her a few times since we met on my twenty-third birthday. I should have known I was tempting fate, but I loved sex, and she was willing. She was fun between the sheets, but I didn’t want fun. What I craved, she could never deliver, so I held back. She’d made it known she wanted to be Mrs. Gates someday. I wasn’t totally against the vision, but I had a lot of life to enjoy before I hung up my balls for good.

“Slippery slope, man,” Jesse warned with a curled lip. He’d seen me adjust my erection.

I studied her backside as she walked for a brief second, then side-eyed Jesse. “I could use a little reliever, and sounds like she feels the same.” I grinned at him and waved for her man to bring her luggage.

“Give me five to freshen up, and I’ll be all yours.” Jenelle swung her Prada bag over her shoulder and walked with a swing in her hips down the aisle.

“Seriously?” Jesse snickered behind me. He wasn’t going to give up easily. “I thought you left Malibu Barbie months ago.”

“I just need a little nightcap,” I shot back at him. “What’s the harm in that?”

“She’s probably friggin’ chipped you, or even worse, her father did. It’s why he knew where you were.” Jesse shook his head. “Ten grand that this time she’ll have you shopping for wedding rings.”

“She’s good for one thing, Jesse, and that’s where it ends,” I assured him as I felt my pants strain. I knew he was right. Jenelle had a way of getting what she wanted, thanks to her father.

“Seriously, Grim, she’s smart.” He put a hand on my arm. “She and her father would love nothing more than to cement your family name to theirs.”

“You done?” I glared, but he knew I heard him. I didn’t give a shit right now.

“For now.” He had to laugh as I swaggered down the aisle after her and it lightened the mood.

“Grim.” My younger brother, Leo, barred my way. He stood with folded arms and a look of distaste on his face. “Why’s she here?”

“She needed a ride,” Jesse replied for me.

“How, I mean, seriously?” Leo rolled his eyes. “She’s like a piranha when it comes to you, Grim.”

“Maybe, but I could use the welcome home gift.” I shrugged.
