“They’ve become good friends. Despite their wild ways, each of them has a heart of gold. They’re amazing, beautiful, and generous.”

“And strong-willed,” Grey muttered as Willow chuckled and then groaned as he hit a sore spot on her foot.

“Just there,” Willow moaned in pure delight.

Grey was only too happy to oblige.

Willow

Grey had surprised me with this long weekend, though he’d given me a heads-up so I could book the time off. Every so often, my damn man sent me a smug smile as if he knew something I didn’t. Our ability to sneak away was limited before, making this surprise even more wonderful. And if we did slip off, we had to be careful where we booked in case we ran into someone we knew.

It was rather sweet of Grey to have approached Phoe and book her Camden home. I had visited before, and I loved the view over the bay with the harbour in the distance. It was also nice because Phoe kept a small boat there we’d be able to take out. Well, I say a small, but it slept ten easily. And we could at least spend one day fishing on it. Grey would like that.

I’d packed for the weather, including several sweaters, because it could get cold on the water. But I was looking forward to hogging Phoe’s hot tub there. It was something Grey and I needed when we got our place.

“Sorry, what?” I asked, realising Grey had spoken.

“The house. I loved it, babe, and I’m going to be honest. Of course, we have a fucking swamp where the swimming pool was supposed to be, but I liked everything about it. It had a warm feeling, and I could see us growing old there,” Grey said.

Though light, his voice carried a significant meaning. Grey had fallen in love with the old property, and honestly, so had I.

“Shall we put a bid in?”

“Yeah, I think so, babe; it would be our forever home,” Grey replied with a grin.

“Damn, I like the sound of that,” I mused, and I did.

A home that would be ours still when we were old and grey. Grandkids running around, and maybe we’d be lucky to see great-grandchildren. Rocking chairs on the back porch, a fire pit, and a hot tub that we would use even when eighty.

“You know, I plan to be one of those embarrassing parents who can’t keep her hands off her man. And then the highly embarrassing grandma who sits in a hot tub with grandad and whispers dirty things in his ear,” I stated.

A huge grin crept across Grey’s face.

“Love the sound of that, babe. We’d have to adopt a few rugrats, too. That seems like something Rage MC does.”

Shocked, I sat up straight. This was a topic I’d never discussed with Grey.

“You’d do that?” I questioned.

“Yeah. Look at your family, Willow. Half of them have kids that ain’t theirs by blood. I love the idea of giving a few youngsters something they don’t have. Do not care how old they are, but we could give them a lot of love and a home.”

“I thought you’d want your own, too?” I wanted to confirm that we understood each other.

“Yes, three or four is plenty. And then we’ll adopt one or two.”

“Two,” I replied firmly.

Grey sent me a loving smile.

“Feel like giving me four babies and adopting two more?” he inquired.

“Six kids. Damn. How will we cope?” I teased, but my heart warmed inside.

Grey knew me too well. He was my soulmate.

“Phoe does have that bus, owns a school, and runs a daycare. And then we got your dad and uncles. We’ll be fine. There’ll always be someone we can foist the rugrats off to. And if not, I’ll convert the basement into a padded room, and we’ll chuck them down there with a pizza and movie.” He chuckled.

“Sounds like heaven.”
