I was still infuriated, but when he wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed my shoulder, it melted away slightly.
His fingers danced up and down my arm as he whispered in my ear.“I’m sorry. I guess I was worried about you.”
I remained silent, wondering why worry would’ve caused him to lash out at me like he did.
Zeus dotted kisses on my shoulder, his hands lacing with mine as he pulled me flush against him.
“I love Reign like a brother. It hurt me to think of you doubting him. Of Tye doubting him.”
“You shouldn’t have taken it out on me.”
Zeus sighed, burying his head in my neck. His scent enveloped me, and he nodded.
“I know. Let me make it up to you.”
He rolled me onto my back, his fingers tilting my head to reach my lips, his tongue darting into my mouth as I groan.
“I don’t want it rough, Zeus.”
Zeus kissed me tenderly, his fingers stroking my breast through my t-shirt. “I know.”
I sank my teeth into my lip, and he tugged it free with his finger, growling in my ear.
“If you don’t want it rough, don’t do that.”
My eyes met his, and despite everything, I relaxed.
“Yes, Daddy.”

Tye strode into my office, his steely glare locking onto mine as I raised an eyebrow.
“Reign.”
“Tye,” I said, steepling my fingers together. He hadn’t called me since he told me he was with Lizzie, and I was pissed with him for that.
“How is she?” I asked, my voice hoarse.
Tye eyed me momentarily before sinking to the chair in front of me.
“I want to ask you something, but I apologise for asking it before I do.”
I don’t like his tone.
He swallowed, raking his hand through his hair before exhaling, looking at me with guilt.
Whatever it was, I wasn’t making it easy for him.
I waited, stroking my stubble as he shifted uneasily. His eyes were surrounded by dark circles, filled with worry and concern. Yet there was something else. He was looking at me like he didn’t know me.
I don’t like this.
“Did you know that girl couldn’t breathe when you were fucking her throat, Reign?”
My blood froze in my veins.
