I smile as Niko lifts me in his arms, his cock nudging against my opening, and we both sigh as I sink down onto him.

“Mine,” he growls against my wet skin, and I smile.

“Mine,” I tell him, nipping at his neck.

He shudders against me, and I grin.

“Yours,” I whisper as he starts to move, and his grip on me tightens.

“Forever.”

“Forever,” I agree as he hits that spot inside of me that has my mind going blank.

I grip him tighter, determined to enjoy the ride.

Five Years Later…

“When will mom be home?”James asks for the hundredth time today.

“We’re going to pick her up from the airport in ten minutes. I need you guys to get your shoes on, okay?”

Both boys rush off to get ready for the trip to the small airport just south of Aspen Ridge, and I finish up the dishes and go to get ready myself.

Elle has been gone for the last two weeks. She and Tessa have been on a book tour for their latest release, and while I’m so proud of my mate and her friend, I’m ready to have her back home with me.

The kids have been just as excited for her return. They’ve been counting down the days for the whole two weeks. We’ve been talking to her on the phone and over FaceTime every day, but it’s not the same as having her here.

My wolf has been on edge and pacing for the entire two weeks. We haven’t been away from our mate for longer than a night for the last five years, so being apart for two weeks was rough. I had wanted to go with them, but the kids had started Preschool and kindergarten and we couldn’t take them out for the whole time. Besides, Elle didn’t want to disrupt their routine like that. Especially not when they’re at the stage where they can shift more freely and can’t always control.

Elle had tried to convince me that it wouldn’t be that bad, but it was torture. Now that she’s coming home, my wolf and I have big plans for our mate tonight.

“Ready, Dad?” Logan asks as he comes in.

His shoes are on the wrong feet, and I smile as I kneel to fix them for him.

“I’m ready. Are you excited to see Mommy?”

“Yeah!” He cheers, and I grin.

“Me too.”

“I missed her,” he tells me, and I nod.

“I missed her too. I know that she missed us too.”

Logan is a miniature version of his mom with pale blonde hair and blue eyes. He’s just as creative and sweet as her too.

Meanwhile, James takes after me with dark brown hair and grey eyes. He’s already set to follow in my footsteps and take over the Mountain Rescue when he’s older too.

There’s a knock at the door, and I wave as Ash opens the door and catches the boys in his arms.

“Hey, guys. Are you ready to see your mom and aunt?” He asks the kids, and they both start chattering at him excitedly.

“Us too!” His kids say as they pile into the house around him.
