“Ready to get going?” I ask them, and they grin, nodding their heads so hard that I’m worried for their necks.

James opens the door, and all of the kids take off for the cars.

“I checked their flight and it’s still on time,” Ash tells me, and I nod.

“Good. I can’t wait to have them back here.”

“Same,” he sighs, and I clap him on the back.

I smile as I lock up the house and climb into the car, cranking the heat before I back out of the driveway. I follow after Ash’s car as we head towards the airport.

“How much longer?” James asks, and I bite back a laugh.

“Twenty minutes.”

We found out that we were pregnant with James a month after Elle and I were first together. She got pregnant with Logan about two months after giving birth to James. It was a surprise for both of us, and we decided that after he was born, we were done. Two babies so close together was a bit crazy at first, but it’s gotten better as they get older.

We park at the small airport and I wrangle the boys over to the arrivals part. Her plane just landed, and I grab Logan before he can wander off. People start to come off of the plane, and I keep my eyes peeled for any sign of my mate.

Then I see her hair.

Fuck, even after all of this time, she still takes my breath away.

She’s the most beautiful thing that I’ve ever seen. Her curves are more pronounced after having our kids, but I love it. Her hair is tied up and she looks tired from traveling. I can see her scanning the airport, and the second that her eyes land on me and our kids, she smiles, her eyes lighting up.

“Mom!” James calls, taking off with Logan right behind him.

“Mommy!” Savannah and Miles yell, following after my kids to where their mom, Tessa, is standing with her arms open wide.

Ash and I both move to greet our mates, and I grin as I wrap Elle and our boys up in my arms.

“Welcome home,” I murmur in her ear, and she beams up at me.

“I missed you all so much,” she tells us.

“Not as much as we missed you,” I tell her, tipping my head and kissing her softly.

“Did you miss us, Mom?” Logan asks, and she turns to talk to our kids.

I grab her carry-on bag and lead everyone over to the baggage claim area. Elle is carrying Logan and holding James’s hand as he tells her everything that we’ve done in the last two months.

Elle must sense my gaze on her because she looks up and smiles as our eyes lock. There’s a promise there in the blue depths, and I know that we’re on the same page about tonight.

Now, I just need to make it that long.

“I’ve got big plans,” I whisper in her ear as the kids go to greet Tessa.

“Me too,” she says huskily.

“Love you, mate.”

She just smiles as she stands on her tiptoes and presses her mouth to mine.
